uk government constantly using this exact logic and it drives me crazy these people (conservatives and terfs) like to say that they have 'concerns' about these medical practices about the risks of a specific medication or whatever even tho there are literally studies and data showing that they are not particularly risky and do not have high regret rates esp compared to many other medical practices that are already used and they act like they're just targeting that thing even tho they're perfectly fine with cis people using and receiving the exact same treatment! it is just transphobia and discrimination plain and simple like puberty blockers. fine for cisgender kids who start puberty too early or have other issues. not fine for trans kids apparently HRT - from what i hear is pretty easy for menopausal cis women to get a hold of straight from the pharmacy without having to so much as talk to a therapist but for trans people in the uk damn near fucking IMPOSSIBLE and requires jumping through a million unnecessary hoops they design the system this way on purpose. it is working as intended they just dont want trans people to exist or be able to transition or anything ugh sorry for the rant lol but it needed to be said trans 🏳️‍⚧️ transition transgender trans healthcare uk politics uk government comics
