Week 10: “Just when were you planning on telling us that?”

Hunter accidentally hit the kitchen table so hard it made him jump a little, “And just when were you planning on telling us that?” He started.

Omega shrugged and tossed the small bag onto the table, causing the credits to pour out. 

“Whoa!” Wrecker exclaimed. “You were hiding all of this?”

“I forgot about them!” She laughed.

“And how did you get, what is that —” Hunter rummaged his hands through the spilled credits and picked up the bag, shocked to see more inside.

“The thirty thousand credits?” Crosshair intervened as he stepped into the room behind Omega.

“Thirty thousand?” Hunter’s jaw dropped.

Crosshair folded his arms and looked to his sister with a mischievous grin. 

“No,” Hunter shook his head at Omega, “You were gambling? Again?”

“It was for a good cause,” Omega smirked. “But we ended up doing things Crosshair’s way and didn’t need to use them.” She looked back up at Crosshair to try and pin some of the blame.

“My way was much, much cheaper,” he slithered.

“Your way?” Hunter glanced at Crosshair.

“Uh-huh,” Crosshair picks up a pretend rifle made of air, peers down its scope, pulls the trigger, and acts like the pretend blaster kicks against his shoulder.

Hunter put his hand over his eyes, then created a gap between his fingers to look through. Shifting his eyes to look at both Crosshair and Omega, he asked, “When was this?” “Oh, like months and months ago,” Omega sighed.

 “I thought you’d be happy,” Crosshair gaslit.
