Autistic Byleth HC’s.
I’ve been playing the shit out of FE3H and the whole emotionless thing with Byleth got my gears grinding. Currently playing the Blue Lions and my unit is female so I will be mainly talking about BL’s and using she/her pronouns. MORE BELOW!
Byleth barely talked outside of one worded demands for things till about five. She did keep her sentences short and to the point however.
She has problems showing emotions but does feel them. Even after learning to show her emotions more easily after becoming a professor, she still has troubles showing what she feels. However, her students have come to figure out some of the subtle signs of what she feels.
It tends to take her awhile to process and understand how she feels. Sothis aids her a lot in this by pushing her to think about these feelings until she fuses with Byleth.
Her special interests are Swords and Fishing. After six months at the monastery it expands to interest in singing, gardening, and cooking. She made good use of the library to absorb all the information she can on these new subjects.
She is good with sounds in battles, she knows how to deal with problems when in battle, however, a lot of talking outside of battle tend to throw her into meltdowns when first coming to the monastery.
When she has meltdown she goes to her room to pace and hum loudly while she clicks her fingers. She has to keep her room dim for this.
The Students finding out about Byleth’s unique interests and habits.
Dimitri is the first person to be shown Byleth’s sword collection. After the Ball she takes him to her room.
She slowly shows him each sword, tells him the names of them and everything she knows about each weapon.
Turns out she has started to name them after each student she has.
Slyvain: A Calvary saber. A simple blade with a rose designed on the hilt. It looks more decoration then weapon, but is quite deadly.
Ashe: A Cinquedea, a dagger where the base of the blade is about the width of five fingers. A blade kept by commoners and has many uses, between slashing and stabbing.
Felix: A Pata/Gauntlet sword. A blade with a gauntlet for a hilt. This blade his used for fighting mounted units and despite it’s looks, it a slashing weapon.
Annette: Spadroon. A light sword with a straight-edge blade, enabling both stabbing and slashing.
Mercedes: A court sword. The progenitor of the Rapier. Light and made for thrusting.
Ingrid: Rapier proper. A heavier sword made of stabbing your foes full of holes.
Dedue: Greatsword. A massive two handed sword.
Dimitri: Estoc. A sword made to fight mailed foes and made for stabbing alone.
Dimitri finds himself tearing up a little as she explains each sword she’s named for her students.

Autistic Byleth HC Part 2: ELECTRIC BUGALOO
EVEN MORE STUFF! Below is the continuation of her students finding out about all the little weird things she does.
Flayn (Because I forgot her!): A unique Short sword/Court sword with a fish for a pommel and hilt.
Felix respects her as a sparring partner, but he noticed quickly how she tends to rock and click her fingers when explaining to him how his footwork or something needs improvements.
Mercedes loves baking sweets and thinks it is adorable that Byleth just has to pull her sweets apart into little bitty bites. She asked once why Byleth does this and it is to savor them.
Though Byleth does eat just about anything, Dedue figured out quickly that she is really into mash potatoes and also seems to go for more plain foods.
He’s gotten very good at making the perfect creamy mashed potatoes and different soups that provide a good balance of nutritional needs which she lacks due to eating a fuck ton of mash potatoes.
Flayn once got into a three hour discussion about different kinds of fishing bait, lures, fishing poles, and different kinds of fish and where to find them.
She also got into the same sort of discussion with Seteth as well.
Sylvain often asks her out to eat and she always refused, however when he asks her for tea in his rooms she is happy enough to do so.
When teasing her about it ‘what would the others think about you being alone with me in my room’ Byleth admits that she finds it hard to understand words when a lot of people are talking around her.
Annette really admires Byleth’s ability to absorb as much info she can on a subject and strives to do the same.
Ingrid was also shown the sword collection when she found Byleth oiling each and every one of them.
Like this sword collection is insanely big.
Ingrid is now very good at sword sword upkeep.
Stuff that Jeralt only knows about.
Byleth enjoyed chewing things.
Leather, cloth, metal, his arm
Chew chew chew
Though she was always gentle chewing on his arm.
She would only chew on his arm when over sensitized.
Taught her how to read and write at fairly young age so she can communicate in some way when she didn’t feel like talking.
She likes fuzzy materials like fur, and she now has quite a few furs to pet when she needs to calm down and stim.
When she learned to read, boy howdy she read EVERYTHING.
Down right floored him when she started to tell him about the things she read.
He got her into fishing.
Her sword collection started fairly quickly and they had to figure out ways to store the damn things.
He had so much trouble with all her swords.
