something that i wish was talked about more in system communities is how hard it is to have alters that feel distinctly different from others in ways that are hard to conceptualize.
i see a lot of systems where their headmates come out with a name, age, gender, the whole works. for us, most of our newer parts never have a name, age, gender. at least not without intense thinking about it, and even then gatekeeper will usually pull us from front if we think about it too much.
take me, for example. our therapist notes me as CAV and i’ve called myself productive!cav a lot, but i dont have a name thats my own. finding a name thats mine is hard. its tiring. i had to talk to our girlfriend to find out that im possibly aromantic and use they/them pronouns. i cant do that sort of searching on my own, and finding a name is an entirely personal experience that i can’t get outside opinion for. at least not in a way that will point me in a direction that feels right.
so, this is for all the systems who struggle to personally identify all their headmates and for all the headmates that know theyre different but struggle to verbalize it. i see you. you arent alone.

Depends on if this is refering to who we know has been around longest vs who was aware of themself/fronting during sys discovery/confirmation
Pigeon was aware of us being a system even before our sys discovery, and so was Micheal and Arctic. There was a small handful of others, but I dont remember who they were nor do I know where the fuck they disappeared off too. I know theres actually a sketchbook page of like the first 5 or 6 people that were aware of us being a system before one of our old hosts went back into heavy denial for a few years due to some not very nice interactions with a bunch of sysmeds 8⁰/
After sys discovery, I think the most active were Evan, Pigeon, Frisk, Demo, and Micheal I believe?? There was a group of around 20ish or so that was around during when our headspace was just an apartment building, after the headspace void era
In terms of whos been around the *longest*, Pigeons has definitely been around for a long while. Ae presented aerself as imaginary friend starting when we were like 4 or 5 I think?? Right before we knew about Minecraft. S0niic.exe has also been around for a while, since like 2010 so maybe before pigeon, and was just stuck in co con for like 10 years for some reason. Ive been around for a bit, since 2013 or 2014 I believe, and theres others that were here pre-2015 aswell, more than 10 but less than 30 is the most specific I can get
We do have memories of shit from way before we realized we were a system that we now know was system shit which is a bit weird to look back on but we ball

Lotsss of questioning for multiple years. We initially suspected when we learned about the artists muse concept, where your character talk back to you, and we had known that the vague concept of plurality had existed before then and was like hmmmmmmm
I think we first suspected back in 2016 or 2017?? Which is when the 5 or 6 people first drew themselves, lemme know if yall wanna see that btw cause Ill have to dig out an old sketchbook to find it. Old host went back into heavy denial after getting trapped in the loop of FDC tiktok compilations on youtube, which fuck anyone who fakeclaims and fuck anti endos, firing warning shots yet again we dont want you here please and thanks
Started heavily questioning again sometime in 2021, which was also the time we learned about the wider alterhuman community due to an irl ex friend who was also questioning both plurality and was fictkin
Our sysversary date is May 28th, as thats around when we made our SimplyPlural account, and ironically enough is also the date I got frontstuck in 2023 lmao
But yeah, us going through denial for so many years is part of the reason were so open about being plural now and willing to help others, cause I dont want them to have to suffer through the same kind of internal fakeclaiming that we did via bad experiences with the community early on

I dont have a drawing or picrew of Micheal cause his pfp is just an old photo of our face, but I have shit for the other three
Reminder that you can wholeheartedly love your system and sysmates and still have days where you feel tired of being a system. Sometimes being a system makes hard days easier, but sometimes it makes them harder, and that’s okay too.
