AITA for quitting my job?

I (30s M) used to kill people for a living. Almost. You see, a terrible plague has befallen our cities, twisting people into bloodthirsty beasts. To protect whatever people remain, hunters such as myself are employed to slaughter the beasts in the street. I, however, stopped doing this because despite their grotesque transformations, they’re still people.

I’ve resorted to attacking fellow hunters to protect these beasts. They’re both people, so am I wrong for doing so, or would I be wrong for not doing so?
