My final thoughts, before I go insane. SPN 15x18 spoilers!

Okay, I have slept on it, and I have one last thing to say.

I know that a lot of people have a lot of opinions, and I think a lot of that stems from people being a bit worried. Does Dean reciprocate? Is that really it for Cas? Or are the writers really that homophobic?

I think that we just have to wait to find out. I rewatched the clip this morning, and there was about 30 seconds between Cas' confession and his death - Dean had no time to process all this informarion being thrown at him. I am firmly under the belief that the reason Dean didn't say anything was because he was in shock, and it's no secret that the dude is probably the most emotionally unhealthy person to have ever existed.

There is no way they can go through the whole of the next episode without Dean expressing some kind of opinion or emotion on what happened. He'll have to tell Sam and Jack, at the very least. And his reaction will most likely determine whether or not he canonically reciprocates.

As for the 'bury your gays' issue, I don't think we can assume anything until the show is actually finished, i.e. did they bring Cas back. Death has never been something permanent on this show, and whether you believe they will bring Cas back before the end or not is up to you, but absolutely NO ONE can guarantee that he is gone for good.

So, before I start accusing anyone of being homophobic, I'm gonna wait and see what happens next. If anyone wants to chat about it (or rant, or scream, or anything else) please message me! I would love to chat to some other people who watch the show.
