Did anyone else make up oddly dark headcanons when they were a kid or was that just a me thing?

when I was young (like around 8 or so) I used to make up stuff like Elmo's parents were dead because he was always alone and it was just him and his goldfish ( I know he has texan parents now but he didn't when I was a kid) or that Loonette (from the Big Comfy Couch) didn't have any either because they were never showna dn she was just there with her doll, ( she did have a granny and a mailman though)
