“Thank you all for the well wishes TheB! Bye bye~!” Hyunjae ended the V-Live session, bag packed and ready to go. “Manager-nim—” “—I’ll pack up here.” His manager gave him an all-knowing look, nudging Hyunjae out of the door. As if on cue, his phone dinged and he looked at the notification. Greetings Mister Lee Hyunjae, Happy Birthday! You are cordially invited to my house for a Netflix & Chill session. He chuckled at your antics, replying to your message with a simple “see you <3”.
A beat passed and Hyunjae began sprinting towards the exit, terribly elated to see you. You didn’t live too far from Cre.ker Entertainment, which was a bonus because Hyunjae could crash at your place any time. With every step he took, his smile grew wider, his heart swelling with joy.. Breathless and a little giddy from the sheer excitement, he finally reached your door.
Fishing for his set of the keys to your apartment, he invited himself into your humble abode. “Hyunjae? Oh no, wait!” Before he could even speak, your hands flew up to cover his line of vision. “You weren’t supposed to see it!” He couldn’t see your face, but he knew you most definitely had a pout. He burst out laughing, deciding to go along with your antics, “Okay, okay. I have my eyes closed.”
Inch by inch, you held on to him as you two navigated the living room. “And...surprise!” Hyunjae opened his eyes to the cosy sight before him: a little pillow fort, something that he had wanted to do for sometime. “How did you know?” “Would you believe me if I asked you?” You cheekily replied. “Asked me...oh no. When I was drunk right?” A hazy memory of getting drunk a few days back surfaced and Hyunjae face-palmed.
“Back to this. Here. Matching pajamas!” You shoved a soft, teddy bear pattern set of pajamas into his arms. “Go, go! I still need to grab the food!” You giggled, taking his bag from him and pushing him towards the toilet. “I got it.” He lightly pinched your cheeks. He made quick work of shedding his clothes and changing into the ones you handed him.
Emerging from the toilet slightly refreshed, he padded over to the pillow fort where you were waiting with a small cake. “Did you make this?” Hyunjae gasped when you nodded, holding the cake up to him. He sat down beside you, receiving the cake as he did. “Make a wish.” You urged him. “I wish that I can see...more of your aegyo.” He closed his eyes, smiling as the words left his mouth.
“Geez. For all the things to wish for.” “It’s a good wish. Sometimes you’re really uptight. It isn’t bad but I like your cute side more.” Hyunjae reasoned back and you gave in, “Alright, alright. Anything for you.” Following his count, Hyunjae requested for 3 sets of heart aegyo and you complied. “Ah Hyunjae...it’s embarrassing.” He embraced you, hands on your flushed face. “Aigoo, but you did it for me, hm?”
“Never again. Gah, my face is so hot.”
“How about my next birthday?”
