Rebel Wilson successfully her used law background to get the MPAA to change the rating The Hustle from R to PG-13 using sexism as her argument
James Cordon: You just told me now that you used your experience in law to change the rating of the movie from an R to a PG-13.
Rebel Wilson: Thats right.
James Cordon: How did you do that?
Rebel Wilson: Kind of a big deal. Hardly any movie are successful at doing this. A lot try. One of the last successful ones that I know of was Mean Girls. They got their rating downgraded. But basically I didnโt want to cut jokes out of the movie I ran an argument that sexist to give us an R rating because of the jokes that are in male-driven [PG-13] comedies. I went to the arbitration, represented the film, spoke to the jury, and in under five minutes of jury deliberation they declared me the winner.
