Tragic tragic plot but well done. I think this was the movie where Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling developed a relationship that has since continued. Two talented artists with wide range and commitment to producing good work.

Luke’s from Las Vegas and he’s had a very troubled life. He grew up in and out of foster homes, and has experienced a lot of violence in his childhood. Eventually he became violent himself, he’s been in and out of jail and he’s basically found this - he was looking for a life for himself and finally found it in the circus. ” [x]
