Yet even then, he was faced with the Ken-ness of it all, staring into the fathoms of what it meant to forever be number two...

I have watched this film (Hail, Caesar!) many times and I enjoyed Alden Ehrenreich's portrayal as Hobie Doyle. Favorite scene of his was with Ralph Fiennes (playing Laurence Laurentz): "Would that it were so simple." Hilarious and yet indescribably understated which again, made us roar with laughter. Perhaps we're easily amused, but both actors pulled it off with panache. Hats off to you, Alden Ehrenreich!

Those colors (blue and gold) work very well for AG. Love that it’s a turtleneck; some folks aren’t fond of the style, but in the right time and place, it sets a mood.

To writers of lovely works of long fiction,
As a reader, I really really appreciate those of you who use the "Keep Reading" button after your summary/warnings/short lead-in paragraph, etc.
I reblog a number of works, and the "Keep Reading" insert functions as a tidy way to have those reblogs interspersed with other nonfiction type reblogs that I also enjoy.
Thanks for coming to this nonTED talk.
A fan.
I'm saddling up because Cowboy Cookies are on the baking menu today. The work crowd are big fans and passing them out on Fridays seems to spread some joy that carries through the day. The number one favorite seems to be chocolate chip, followed by snickerdoodles, the cowboy cookies, and shortbread. What cookie types do you like to bake?
