The Lightsinger theory is purely speculation and they're pushing it as canon because they know the other alternative is... not a good look for their ship and they know it.

Why would she reveal Gwyn is a Lightsinger in his bonus chapter? They say they are not saying Gwyn is evil but how would Gwyn being a Lightsinger play out in an Elr*el book? They are treating her as an obstacle or a plot device to add angst to their ship. They don't care about Gwyn and what her turning evil could do to the Valkyrie dynamic.
