I've been cooking up the perfect combo of filters + effects to achieve this.

In flashback scenes, the "camera quality" is gonna go down.

The story primarily takes place in 2009, with some flashbacks to 2004. I've bought a digital camera from each year so I can study how the images look 🧐

I've been so neurotic about all these small details. I've done more research than I have ever done in school. For a scene where characters ride public transport I searched for images taken on the specific subway line for the specific year JUST TO GET THE ADVERTISMENTS ON THE TRAIN CAR RIGHT.

And i know that's so irrelevant but I feel like if i don't do this the whole world is gonna come down :'D

And it's hilarious cause we've totally fudged REALLY BIG details to our advantage, and it doesn't bother me. huh.
