idk I could definitely weave some sort of web and connect gregory to fazbear entertainment but I think it's a lot more tragic and true to the narrative if he is just this supremely unlucky kid who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time

if it wasn't him it would've been another yknow
there was nothing premeditated about him being a target. he just was.
and I think that more than anything is whats going to haunt him
there wasn't any reason for him to suffer
there wasn't any reason for him to get wrapped up in all of this
he simply was and now he's intrinsically tied to it with no real way to escape
we really do see it in the 'leave' ending that this is going to haunt him forever this is not something he can leave behind
