Imagine what could have been the literal worst moment of a life with entirely too many awful moments, instead turns into chatting with a weird but polite guy who gets all giggly over old detective novels, until you realize he knew this was a terrible moment for you but instead of telling you, he just made it fun, and like yeah you're dead but you're less alone than you've felt in ages because as surprised as he was that you could see him, he sees you right back.
