It wasn’t like he expected Chica to drag him down the garbage chute alongside her. He’d even tried to stop it, kicking at the animatronic and trying to grab hold of anything he could on his way down. It had just all happened so fast — the relief of the compactor coming down ( which had also gotten far too close for comfort ) and the sudden panic upon realizing she hadn’t let go of his leg. 

It was fine, though. He’d landed okay, and their plan to put Chica out of commission had seemed to work for now.
