Something I notice in Skulduggery Pleasant that I think reflects a lot of Europe (from my limited experience, feel free to correct me) is that Canada is pretty much nonexistent. America gets lots of attention, both in the series and in real life, whereas Canada is pretty much never mentioned because it’s “basically just America” and therefore lumped in.
Not necessarily a critique, just something I notice a lot. I actually have to do a double-take when Canada is mentioned in any fictional text and I live here.
