i started reading bllk assuming it would be your average sports manga, and that the mc would be really weak compared to everyone else but use the power of teamwork and friendship to become the best – in this case, the best striker
i was very pleasantly surprised when isagi got kira out of that first exercise!! that was The Moment when i knew i’d love his character
also i immediately caught on to his weird hair-sprout-thing and i loved how even his mini panels would include it, vv cute!!
