Oohh so many choicess, i read some interesting cixin liu books this year tho so i have to say those (it was 3 body problem and for the benefit of mankind, which is a pretty fire graphic novel) (no seriously the commentary on capitalism and just greed in general is just *chefs kiss*)

3 body problem netflix is so fucking bland and dumbs down/waters downs almost every exciting aspect of the books, I‘m only 2 episodes in and I didn’t even have very high expectations but somehow I‘m still disappointed

the one hill that i’m willing to die on even if it makes me look like a massive cunt is this:

the parts that you like about got and/or 3 body netflix are there because the original authors wrote an amazing story, there’s gonna be a lot of good stuff in the adaptation by default— that doesn’t make d&d some screenwriting geniuses— in fact they’re maybe mid at adapting given material and terrible at coming up with it on their own. the reasons early got and 3 body Netflix aren’t complete train-wrecks (in my estimation) is the support they received from the studios & their co-writers

Everyone should read Cixin Liu's "Three Body Problem" series. All three, not just the first like it seems like the reviews on the book imply?

Why do books do that? Why does the third book in the series have reviews for the first? The world is a confusing place

Update that I forgot to make: the ending is. Disappointing as all get out! The main character are 100% lesbians and her VERY ACTUALLY LESBIAN roommate and confidant and rock through the whole book is. Simply written out???? So our VERY STRAIGHT ACTUALLY mc can spend the rest of forever with a man.
