Jason deserved so much better, and Gar had that going for him but NOOOO they had to put him with rose who clearly did not love or care about him the way Gar did. She treated him like shit while Gar tried his hardest to help Jason when he could.

You could argue Gar is nice to everyone no matter what but if were being honest here he probably saved Jason. There were so many times they made it clear Jason was struggling. I mean the time he tried to jump off the roof, hie drug addiction and more. Nobody cared except Gar and Dick.
