I loathe the fandom's obsession with the term "toxic masculinity" at this point. Like setting aside that people are always hurling that phrase at Dean while the show's projecting pretend therapist who's psyop-ing them into thinking that gets called a paragon of emotional health... I find it more and more infuriating that these men who have experienced trauma on an inhuman scale and who perpetually exist in a war zone from which they can't escape and get very little respite—always waiting for the other shoe to drop—have their need to tamp down their emotions at various points in order to fucking survive criticized with "toxic masculinity bad" and "lol go to therapy."
