you know that feeling where you know someone's watching you but you just can't put your finger on who it is?
that's how draken felt the entire time.
mikey was giving his speech, the commanders and the entirety of toman were listening, and yet the leader's right hand couldn't help but feel a little bit uneasy if he could say. he felt like he was about to get attacked at any moment and mitsuya noticed the way his friend was not listening right away.
"you're okay?" takashi nudged his friend a little, the latter humming as he stared at something peeking from the bushes.
was that a dog or a person?
"yeah, just give me a second." draken excused himself, mikey going silent as he watched his close friend walking towards the bushes like he grew two heads.
"ken?"
draken held his hand, sneaking behind the bushes before grabbing whatever was sitting there and had been creepily staring and eavesdropping on the toman meeting ever since it started.
"what the fuck?" that was a whole person in his hand. he was grabbing her by the collar, her eyes were closed shut as if she was even scared to open them and meeting a certain two pairs of eyes that were definitely quite disappointed in her.
"who is she?"
"hey, she could be a spy for another biker gang don't you think?"
"a girl in a biker gang? I've never heard of that before—"
"well let me join you then!" you suddenly shouted, the excited glint in your eyes throwing the guys off guard. you wanted to join toman? is that why you were spying on them?
"how are we supposed to believe that you're not a spy for another biker gang?" draken was pissed. he was tired enough having to be one of the responsible ones in toman—having a fangirl wanting to join was definitely not something he wanted to deal with at the moment.
"look at me, do I look like I could ever get accepted in a biker gang easily?" your puppy eyes weren't going to help you either in this situation, you figured that out when you saw how draken's scowl deepened.
"and you thought toman is the right place for games?"
"my brothers are part of toman so yeah,"
your who?
"your—"
"brothers yeah," nahoya was the first one to approach the two, the smile he usually wore on his face replaced with a tired look instead. draken immediately figured that this was probably not the first time you tried to join them but definitely your first time being caught during a meeting.
"you guys have a sister?" chifuyu chimed in from the side, looking back and forth between you and your brothers, looking for a resemblance.
it was there but he couldn't put his finger on it.
"it's gonna be had if you don't let go of me now." you whispered to draken, aware of the fact that your brothers didn't look too happy that you were there.
letting go of the back of your shirt, draken stepped away from you as he watched the twins approach you with disappointed looks.
"well damn big guy, is gentle even in your vocabulary?" you sassed the taller male who only clicked his tongue in annoyance at you, noting inside his head that you were nahoya and souya's sister first before you could be a stranger that he could easily kick out of toman's grounds.
"(name)." nahoya's strict voice interrupted you, his hands on his hips as he stared at you in a way that draken could describe as 'we've been through this before' and your reply was a simple 'and i'd do it again' stare.
"nahoya." you replied sarcastically, watching as souya joined you two. what a happy family meeting.
"mikey, aren't you supposed to stop—"
"shhh, it's getting interesting." even their leader was now eating a bag of chips as he watched the kawata family reunion. there was nothing more entertaining than family problems in public, right?
"how many times do I have to tell you—"
"that toman is dangerous and that it's not for harmless little girls who have no fighting experience," what you tried to mimic was definitely nahoya's voice, and it was so on point that draken held back a laugh of his own.
"you said it so many times, I might have to tattoo it on my forehead,"
"do it, maybe it will finally get through that fucking thick skull of yours."
"nahoya, be nice," souya's voice chimed in, looking between you and his twin brother. this was a daily occurrence. whenever they came back home from a toman meeting, you'd interview them to know exactly what happened and somehow convince them to let you join them.
an idea they both shut down every single time.
"I would be nice if she listened for once!"
"but I know how to fight!" you tried to defend yourself in a situation where you were obviously kind of wrong since you interrupted a meeting of your brothers' gang.
"knowing how to kill bugs isn't a fighting skill, (name)." this time, souya was the one to shut down your umpteenth attempt at proving yourself worthy of being a toman member. you weren't very fond of his words.
"souya, I know how to fight actual people."
"she does look like she can bite," draken added his two cents in, his joke making you stare at him in disbelief before scoffing.
"well I would certainly not bite you mister, you look like you taste as bitter as the ground."
"oh so you've tasted the ground before?" draken was having too much fun teasing you, watching as you huffed at his reply that obviously proved that you were defeated before in a fight.
"yeah," you replied bitterly. "and it's better than talking to your bald head." you turned to the side, staring back at your brothers who were watching the interaction between you and draken in amusement.
"did you just call me bald?"
"well aren't you? that dragon tattoo is lame as fuck by the way, I would give it a zero if I could." now, you knew you were blatantly lying. draken's tattoo was cool as fuck, if not the coolest you've ever seen so far but you'd never admit it to him.
not when he said you look like you can bite.
"I have the same tattoo," mitsuya commented, hoping that what he said would somehow change the course of the conversation.
"I can't see it though,"
"that's cause my hair is hiding it?"
"exactly, take a hint."
oh you were sassy.
"if nahoya is smiley and souya is angry, then you must be the bitter baby," chifuyu teased.
"you know what, I'm changing my mind you guys are mean!" you crossed your arms over your chest, walking towards your brothers to stand next to them.
nahoya placed his hand on your head ruffling your hair a little, the wide grin finally making its way back to his face.
"finally convinced that joining us is a bad idea?"
"not really."
the twins had a long way to go before they could convince you that toman wasn't the coolest thing to ever exist.
