That one chapter of The Beat Goes On but Branch does have friends outside Poppy and the Snack Pack AND is actually a introduction to Kismet as a second group of main characters!!

It is so humiliating with a character whose only crime was not wanting to hurt his stupid friends' feelings by telling them he'd rather stay home alone.

But complaining is useless, so time to rewrite it is.

The chapter would be called "The Other Friends" and the premise would be the same: Poppy thinks Ramón is giving her excuses to no going to parties for the last weeks

The confrontation about the excuses could be talked out, such a twisted solution wasn't necessary

"Oh no, sorry, I would have loved to go to this... Super fun party" Branch say with a unconvincing smile "But I already made plans with my other friends and they-" he noticed the skeptic look Poppy was giving him and stopped "What?"

Poppy sighed in disappointed "C'mon, Branch. Everyone knows you don't have other friends"

"Excuse me???"

"Look, it's okay, I get it!" she hurried to reassure "All those years of isolation affected you I-I understand that you still need a break from so many people from time to time! And... you still haven't grasped everything that having friends means. I know. But something important in interpersonal relations is honesty so-"

Poppy took a breath, uncomfortable with the conflict.

"So yeah, the excuses have to stop"

It would have been a very good intervention if he was really lying

After that Branch introduces Poppy to his childhood friends (and secret band) who, to no one's surprise, are just as outcasted as him

I'm already thinking about other possible plots for Kismet Centric chapters

Branch: You really put aside everything and came all this way for me? How did you even get here so fast? 
Boom : Several traffic violations. 
Trickee: Three counts of resisting arrest. 
Hype: Roughly thirteen cans of energy drinks. 
Ablaze: Also, that’s not our car.

So who beat up BroZone? Was it Kismet? If so who went up against who?

No no no, it wasn't Kismet. It was Zombie Kismet. I don't have the designs yet, sorry

Found Family?

I didn't want it to just be "we lost an important ally". No, I wanted it to hurt when they lost them.

So I made the bros adopt them.

When Poppy sends the boys to give BroZone the non-death notice about Ramón (Branch), they end up spending a couple of days with the kids in the way back to the Castle, right? And well, the idiots kind of got attached.

They went looking for one little brother and came back with five.

But I'll talk more about this later.

Now, the combos for the bonding are the same as in the fights, and they are:

Trickee & John Dory

Hype & Clay

Boom & Floyd

And

Ablaze & (Bruce) Toño

BRANCH X KISMET KIDS, EVERYONE, I FINALLY LOST IT

There's Coal, Ablaze/Branch kid, he's the oldest with eleven (They had him when they were very young). Red hair and a Mix of blue and lilac. Inherited the glitter freckles.

No one expected Ablaze's Rock genes to give the kid fangs but they did. He looks a lot like Clay but has a very JD personality.

Fun fact: Trickee gave him permission to get his hears pierced even though the others said no

Then we have Bang! Boom/Branch child (Boom thought that name was funny). Dark purple hair (I am one of those who believe that the rainbow hair is dyed) and shining green. Not a glitter troll but has a lot of freckles.

Very bock smart like Clay and got Floyd looks and shyness. I'm a sucker for Branch having a mad scientist child. So she is your typical genius but socially inept character!

... "She" is totally growing to be a they/them

Not so fun fact: The village kids nicknamed her vampire

Twig is from Trickee/Branch. Hey! One of his kids needed to have Branch's attitude. Dark blue hair and warm orange, to contrast his coldness.

The brain of the team and moral compass of his older siblings.

The Jonh Dory resemblance is going to be terrifying to Bruce and Clay in the movie. Especially because the kid looks at you as if he were disappointed in being related and as if he despised every decision you have made in your life...

He's actually very sweet, don't worry!

Jacaranda is Hype/Branch baby, they wanted a blue themed name.

She is just three (omg same age as Branch when his brothers left) but has already proven to be an entity of chaos.

Her puppy dog eyes get her older siblings out of trouble

And oh boy! If these kids get in trouble...

Borrowers au idea

In this au branch was taken by chef instead of his grandmother fortunately he was able to escaped captivity and now lives inside the castle walls like a borrower! He slowly made a home there and helped free any trolls he came across which led to a small group of trolls following him this group is known as kismet! Over time their small community grew into a colony, secretly hiding away in the place where Bergman’s would least expect them.
