Packaging reads "Sade Pişmaniye", under brand of "ipek". Is lowercase important? I don't know, but I shall respect the artistic choice. The packaging itself is pretty neat, doesn't poke you in the eyes with whatever americans have going on with their advertising, and successfully conveys what the product is. Except, I wouldn't lie if I told that this thing looks like rolls of wool. Oh well!

On to the candy!

…because the tasty something that I though was a cover is the candy! After checking in with the back of the packaging, I can in fact confirm that this is an interpretation of classic Cotton Candy! Neat!

After my initial surprise has come by, I approached the candy with different expectations. Cotton Candy can cause some polarizing opinions inside the circlejerk that's my headspace - it's sticky, inconvenient, leaves you thirsty, but it's also sometimes very tasty and fun to eat and share when you walk in a zoo or sit to watch a circus show. How is the new format of being actual candy going to affect this classic?

This is where the second subversion comes in. Turk chefs really know how to combine sweets to make something good, so in their eternal wisdom, they produced a Cotton Candy, that's also a Turkish Delight! The sugar, that was used used to weave the candy, is very soft and inoffensive. It respects your taste buds and doesn't immediately bombard you with sweetness, leaving a soft vanilla aftertaste when it's fully dissolved on your tongue. The aftertaste doesn't last long, leaving you wanting more. I'd recommend eating this candy slowly, to properly savor it and give it its time.

Unfortunately, this candy still repeats the errors of its inspirations, which is inconvenience. Since there's no will or force to bind it together, it just kind of falls apart whenever you take it in hands, so I wouldn't recommend in a setting where you don't have a plate. Keep it for tea or a sit in party.

Final rating: two cups of tea with juice from freshly picked sweet apples, for you and your dear one, but only one.
