sometimes i think about how i got out of a toxic friendship that gave me a weird (idk if ‘bad’ fits bc i was never cruel or mean to anyone) reputation in fandoms i greatly enjoyed due to the manipulation from said “friend” and how people i don’t even know block me (for whatever reason) and i wonder if anyone else has had these kinds of experiences in dealing with narcissists who manipulate you and make you feel like you have to have their back on things (otherwise you’re a bad friend) to your own detriment.

i’m an adult, obv, and i take responsibility for stuff but i just hate how i was manipulated for years and it’s just sad to think about how people in certain fandoms may have misconceptions of me. i don’t expect for people to like me or anything but it sucks that an old friend nearly ruined fandoms for me.

i think it helps to just get my thoughts down and help me move on with a healthier mindset in the rpc
