Tw: Powser - Tumblr Posts

Wanted to try my hand at the Princess Mononoke Ship redraw meme I saw a few people doing! Yes, it's Powser but it just felt like it would be fun for it. :)
TW: Partial nudity, peach x Human Bowser, infidelity, Voyeurism
<this story is not canon to anything in my other universe.>

“Are you going to hand me my clothes, or are you going to leer from the bushes all night?” Peach asked, the water rippling against her pink skin in the dark.
Bowser froze.
How long had she known he was here? Had she known the whole time? Perhaps his eyes gave him away. Their glow pierced through the thick blanket of the night, intensified by his lust. It seemed the princess had no need to turn around, as she could feel them on her back.

He stepped forward, pushing aside the branches and coming into view.
She didn't run. She continued to move her arms lazily in the river, her back slightly turned towards him. Even the dark of the night relented to her beauty, the soft glow of her skin untouched by the shadows of the trees.
Bowser let out a quiet breath, unaware he had even stopped breathing. No matter how many times he laid eyes on her, it felt like the first time. He could experience the thrill of her beauty a hundred times over and it would always feel like a religious awakening.
In a way, it was. She had the body of a goddess—of the beings he read about in books older than his kingdom.
Slowly, he reached down and picked up the delicate clothes laid out on the rocks. At the edge of the water he knelt, holding the fabric towards her as an offering.
Peach let out a soft laugh, turning towards him.
Bowser's eyes wandered over her every curve without restraint. If he was going to be caught looking, he wanted the memory of her vision to last forever. When she finally started to move through the water, he found the courage to lock eyes with her. Everything was starting to feel more and more like a dream.
Perhaps it was.
Maybe she was drowning him, and this was the last hallucination crossing his consciousness before he would succumb to the death he knew she secretly wished on him.
But the longer he watched her sway toward him, the less like a dream it felt, and more like a game he could not win. Surely the gods would not be so generous as to let him have this. If life had taught him anything, it was that he could never catch that which he desired most.

Peach held her hands out from the waters edge, prompting him to place her clothes in them. He watched as she traced her fingers over the lace of the fabric—a simple act that was very hypnotic. She dressed before him while Bowser held his breath, too afraid to break the moment.
“The crown?” She asked, stepping out from the water and onto the sand, holding the frills of her dress to prevent them from getting wet.
Bowser nodded, picking her crown off of the ground. He stayed kneeling, staring up at her as she looked down on him. Taking it from his palms, Peach placed it atop her head while brushing her bangs away from her eyes.
After a moment, she leaned forward and cradled Bowser's face in her hands, forcing him to look into her blue eyes once more. The water around them couldn't compare to their color, nor could the sky above.

“Do you know how stories like these end on Earth?” Peach asked.
The king’s eyes grew wide, as there was something in her words that felt ominous; yet, he remained hopeful. He knew nothing of Earth or its vast history. “No.” He simply answered, too enthralled by the sweet melody of her voice to say more.
“The dragon does not get the princess.” Peach traced her fingers through his beard. “He is slain by the knight in shining armor,” She added, far too casually for the weight of her words.
“I could be your knight.”
Bowser’s answer, while gentle in its honesty, was also firm. His eyes half lidded, he leaned closer.

“You know who my knight is.” Peach reminded him tenderly. “And the dragon is never the savior of the story.”
She closed the space between them, and before Bowser could hope to respond, her lips found his. They were softer than he had imagined in even a thousand dreams.

a big thanks to @the-blind-geisha for beta'ing my short story.
my design for bowser in this is slightly different from previous versions. since this Bowser is not canon to my comic, I removed his scars and made a few small design changes. He has no crown as he does not need one to transform in this.
I would have loved to make a comic of this but I just don't have the time, and it would have been a bit too nsfw for tumblr anyway lol.
