No Pony Believes Twilight

Everypony knows Twilight Sparkle is good at magic.

Everypony also knows that she likes to read. A Lot.

However, nopony believes Twilight when she claims to know important ponies such as Princess Celestia.

Sure, they all humor her when she gets like this, and they can't help but find it sweet that Spike so heavily encourages this.

Worrying, since she has been the major adult pony in his life (and somepony should really do something about that, wow) but sweet.

Nopony ever calls her out on her lies though, because then she gets all sad and withdrawn.

Nopony wants this to happen, seeing as it was very obvious that she didn't have a very social life before moving to Ponyville.

Twilight is always so desperate to please that everypony can't help but worry about her childhood.

So, when it turns out that she wasn't lying about having powerful connections, you can understand how everypony was shocked.

Mostly, everypony wanted to have a talk with Twilight's parents. All of her crippling anxiety and OCD suddenly made a startling amount of sense.
