A sweet moment

Kagura checked the photo again. Yes, this one. It was the most beautiful photo of her twin Brother, Byakuya, who has been single, since she could remember. Kagura found that very weird. They were both 23 years old and she was already married, while he spend his days playing with his two nieces and taking this as an excuse, to not go on dates.

"Are you finished? Towa wants her mom to bring her to bed." Kagura heard the cool voice of her husband behind her. She smiled and looked over her shoulder. "Can't you ask Byakuya, Darling? Towa loves it, when her uncle brings her to bed." Then the young woman continued tipping on her laptop, with a grin on her face, that made her husband shiver. Sesshomaru sighed.

"I think you mean Setsuna. She adores him. You should know, that Towa is obsessed with you. What's so important, that you can't bring our daughter to bed yourself?"

Kagura smiled brighter and rubbed her hands against each other. She looked at Sesshomaru, who leaned over her to look at her laptop as well. Then he raised one eyebrow. "You plan to find a girlfriend for Byakuya? I don't think he will like it, when you're meddling into his life." Kagura sighed. Sesshomarus opinion was always so partisan. He often found excuses for Byakuyas behavior and defended him. Yeah, Byakuya was his brother in law, but Kagura would like it, if Sesshomaru was once at her side.

"C'mon, Sess. He's been single for way to long now. I'm married and he's always alone. I'm just worried about my Byakuya."

Sesshomarus saw, that it wouldn't make any sense, to argue with his wife, because he couldn't win. He never won a fight, when they were still raising his oldest adoptive daughter Rin. Rin really took after Kagura at some point. But she was still his little, innocent child, even tho, she was now dating that boy Kohaku, who was her age.

"And you didn't mind talking to Byakuya about this?" "I was asking him, why he's still single, but he only answered, that he likes to spend time with our daughters and his job really exhaustes him." Kagura finished the profil on the dating side and smiled. She would find the greatest girl for her twin brother. He deserved it. He deserved an own family. Kagura saw it, when he brought Towa and Setsuna to bed. The sad look in his eyes. He once told her, when he had looked to deep in the whiskey glass, that he would love to be a dad.

"Alright, I'm finished." The red eyed woman closed her laptop and stood up. Then she smiled at her husband Sesshomaru und ran her fingers through his hair. "Time to bring our daughters to bed." She kissed her husband sweetly. "We should ask Byakuya, if he wants to spend tomorrow with the twins, so that we can have some time alone." Suggested Sesshomaru.

Kagura softly opened the door to the twins bedroom. "Mommy's here-" As soon as she saw, what was going on in the room, she smiled brighter and suppressed an "awww" sound.

Her brother Byakuya lied in the bed of the Twins, with a soft smile on his face. He clearly was asleep. Towa lied on his chest and cuddled herself against her uncle. Kagura thought, that this was the cutest thing, that she ever saw. Then she chuckled quietly, when she saw Setsuna sitting on the other side of the bed, with a lot of ripped paper in front of her, making origami cranes, what she had clearly just learned from her uncle, who slept next to her.

When Sesshomaru appeared behind her, Kagura gestured him, to be quiet. She just wanted to watch this scene for a while. When her daughter Setsuna saw her, she smiled with big violet eyes. The same color of eyes, as her twin brother.

Setsuna ran towards her Mom and wrapped her arms around Kaguras waist. "Mommy, Uncle Byakuya teached me, how to do origami cranes!" Kagura smiled at her child and took her into her arms. "That's great, sweetie. But lower you're voice a little bit. You will wake you're sister and you're uncle." "Can uncle Byakuya stay with us tonight, Daddy?" Setsuna looked at her father with big violet eyes, while she was holding a sloppy done origami crane on her hand and presented it proud to him. Sesshomaru couldn't resist. "Of course, my dear." Setsuna smiled and ran back to her uncle and her twin sister. She cuddled herself on the other side of Byakuya and closed her eyes with a smile. Kagura watched this scene and she felt how warm her heart was at this moment. Sesshomaru wrapped his arms around his wife and watched the scene with the same warm feeling in his heart. "Do you think we should adopt Byakuya?" Kagura laughed. "I think he's a little bit to old for that, Darling. But you're right...He's like a brother for our girls."

"He's family now, Kagura."

Just a cute one-shot about a modern AU family with Sesshomaru and Kagura as parents with theier girls and uncle Byakuya. It's not really fitting the Hogoshamaru week, but I mentioned Rin as Sesshomarus adoptive daughter.

I can totally see Setsuna and Towa only having so many female friends because their uncle is hot (and many male friends because their mama is hot 💅)
