Bases

Any HTF fanartist must have seen at least one of these guys. Of course that includes myself.

And for some reason, my interesting 12 yo child mind decided to make up a lore about fricking htf bases. I was scrolling thru my personal FB account and I found this bit existing in it since 2015. (For those interested, the post only got 4 likes and those are from my classmates ack)

Here are le points of this stupid headcanon of mine:

"Base" is the term called to the group of alien species with non distinguishable features. Their colors lies within the spectrum of gray hue. Sometimes they have faces, sometimes they do not. At certain times, they even look like a complete shadow and not a critter.

Although they lack features, it can not be denied that Bases are living, breathing creatures. They bleed, they die, and revive just like a normal Tree Friend.

The Tree Friends see these Bases as "Generic Tree Citizens" and do not dare question their existence because why bother? Nothing makes sense in the town anyways

The Oblivious Converts goes on to live their life in Happy Tree Town.

At certain times, Bases base their looks on someone they feel a connection with. Their biological build even allows them to copy/grow the physical attributes (colors, ear, tail, lashes) of the critter they are attached with.

Eventually, the Base will establish its own identity and forget the time when they were just a featureless Base. They have now evolved into an Oblivious Convert. OCs for short.

There were ||awkward|| recorded instances where a Base likes a Tree Friend so much that they become an exact copy of them.

Now, I dunno what to do with this xDDD
