Vampire Third Eyelids (Old information)
There are thoughts about the third eye covering/lids and come to the conclusion Vampires have a third eyelid like cats in particular. Dangerous, sharp objects weirded by the more aggressive prey.
It's instinct in some to attack the eyes on anyone or anything. Or being a peasant burning down your home waving pitch forks.
The second use of the Nictitating membrane is the increased speed and those vampires that can remain humanoid with flight. It keeps eye irritation such as dust from entering the eyes. It keeps the vision completely clear for constant better vision.

1. Infrared-vision: the most common form of enhanced vision is Infrared for a vampire. Your more average created vampire

2. Ultraviolet : Though sometimes human people ( women often) through genetic mutations can see into the ultraviolet spectrum. Hence female vampires and uv vision.
This could be a sign of a created vampire by Shadow King or created vampire by him. The more the direct line the higher powered abilities and powers.
Vampire King the exception: There is one vampire that has the most specialized vampire vision belongs to the Vampire King aka Alucard of Hellsing.
His vision is most likely Infrared combined with the ability to see in total darkness. An example is Dwarves that live underground. Unholy King has this ability due to his darkness/shadow manipulation.
Those that do not have the ability to see in total darkness use their other enhanced senses such as smell and sound.
Though leaves one more question: is the normal human range of vision replaced. You can go ask Alucard because I'm not. Will only speak in arrogant riddles…
