Be My Daddy

my poem:
Want me or trap me
Hold my soul, likes it’s yours to own
Can’t catch a butterfly
Can’t force the wind
I’ll be your girl
If you promise me one wish
Freedom
I’m looking for a daddy
Not a dad
There’s a difference
One you only call after midnight
One never calls you back

Don’t Need Permission 💛 (my vintage record store teenagers moodboard and alessia cara music video)
I named this character Daisy, you can find her downtown listening to vintage music and sharing cigarettes with boys she’s not supposed to. She’s charismatic on accident and cynical on purpose.

Jumblr, there's another big part of E's stuff I haven't gone through yet that y'all are probably going to enjoy.
In addition to all the books I've already documented, he had a HUGE collection of vinyl records. These are now in my possession.
And there are quite a few Hebrew and Jewish-themed records in there!
My next big project will be cleaning those up and then, if I can, record videos of some of these records so everybody can hear them!
Part 1: Documenting the covers
(This is what I found after going through about half the collection. I know there are Barbra Streisand vinyls as well as an Eartha Kitt single of her singing "Hevenu shalom aleichem" which aren't depicted here, but it'll happen, I swears.)
Here are some albums with their back covers as well!
A lot of these records are in a rough state. They weren't all stored very well, and the house they were in was extremely dusty/sandy (welcome to southern Spain). You can see stains and moldiness on some of the sleeves. More cheerfully, you can see some of them have pen marking and notes on the sleeves indicating favorite songs and the like.
Are they worth anything? Probably not monetarily. But if I can get 'em to play, they'll be priceless.

Inktober Day 22 - Scratchy
Drawing, 19/3/2014. I can't afford a record player, so I can only fantasize about being a real hipster while I sit around drawing rubbish on scraps of paper.
