Vladimir Twilight - Tumblr Posts
Who do you think is more awkward when it comes to flirting, Vlad or Stefan? Given how long it must be since they've actually been in a courtship I think it would be hilarious to see them try to date nowdays.
Times are hard for Vladimir and Stefan when it comes to dating. Neither of them knows the rules of Modern Dating. They ignore it all. So I think they both would be deadly awkard while trying to date someone from 20th/21st century AD. They wouldn’t even fit the basic rules. For example, they’d show up dressed like what? They sure would wear an old shirt from another time, probably stained with blood. Nice, uh?What would they show up with? Flowers are good but would they really go the florists to buy them? Or would they pick up flowers…? If their love interest happens to be human, they wouldn’t understand that they need food, a warm/fresh place (depends on the season) and to rest after some time. I’m not even sure they’d be able to resist the thirst. I’m pretty sure they’d date vampires, though it’s diffuclt for them to find someone their own species who doesn’t hate or fear or pity or find them laughable.
To respond to your question, I think Vladimir is more awkard. Stefan is (almost) canonically more laid back than his companion, and would bring their partner to some park, just strolling and chatting and enjoying nature. Very simple but has its effects because Romanian nature is literally breath-taking. Stefan, in general, a good listener and observer, so it’s definetely a plus in a romantic meeting. He knows all the relaxing places all over Eastern Europe because he, too, once in a while, needs a pause from the constant eye-gouging and war-starting rambling of Vladimir. Vladimir on the other hand would spend a very serious amount of time planning his date to the smallest detail. He would bring their love interest to some old castle and try to impress them with his countless stories of The Good Old Times. He knows how to keep people entratained but his way works only with people who totaly hate the Volturi -and not many vampires are ofnd of the idea of declaring outloud they don’t like their kings.
Stefan has surely tried to explain to Vladimir how to improve his dating skills, but since Vladimir think of himself as a perfect being, it ended with them not speaking for one week and then catching up and apologizing with a hug.
5. “Do you think we’re bad people?”

They two of them were sitting on a rock, taking a pause from all the nonsense that was going on at the Cullens’ house.
“Infants. They treat us like wicked people. We’re the ones that could make a difference in the battle with the Volturi” Vladimir said in a desperate tone.
Stefan put a hand on his shoulder, trying to comfort him. “Vlad, why do you even care? Likeyou said, they’re nothing but infants. They don0t realize the danger they’re in”.
Vladimir was grateful to Stefan for his speech but at the same tim he wasn’t really satisfied. “Have you noticed how the newborn always carry her child away from us? Not even if we were monsters...”.
Stefan sighed. “I still don’t understand why you care”
“I care” Vladimir began, almost irritated “because they’re the archeotype of today’s society. And given how we’re treated here, today’s society thinks that we’re bad people, that means that we have absolutely zero chances of going back to power”.
Stefan looked saddened. “Do you think we’re bad people?”
Vladimir immediately saw the look on Stefan’s face. “I don’t know, Stefan...”- But seeing that Stefan was getting even more pensive, he quickly added: “No, we’re not bad people. It’s them who have stupid criterions. We are good, Stef. You hear me?”.
Stefan smiled at Vladimir, knowing fully well that the blond didn’t use his soft voice and manners very often.
8. Go to hell (Romanian Coven fanfiction)

Vladimir stood awkwardly in the corner of the room while the Cullens and some other fools were arguing right in front of his eyes. He didn’t care for their stupid words, but he was bored since Stefan had gone hunting.
At a certain point, one of the nomadic vampires -his name was Alisteir? Alistair?- lashed back abruptly and screamed “Go to hell” to a very startled Carlisle and a much saddened Esme. Time seemed to stop and the whole room was suddenly full of tension. Alistair broke it off and left, but those who remained looked gently at Carlisle and Esme, whispering words of disapproval about Alistair.
Vladimir was still in his corner, lonely. He started to wander with his thoughts and realized that he had heard “Go to hell” only twice before.

The air was filled with the smell of fire, blood and defeat. All the surviving Dacian soldiers had started to run for their lives hours before, but their last two lords stood their ground, refusing to flee their home: if they were fated to die, let it be on their native soil.
Vladimir and Stefan didn’t even bothered enough to hide -what would be the point? Vladimir’s fair hair could be spotted as far as miles away. Three hooded figures approached them, their pace slow and arrogant. One of them, Aro, walked all the way up to the proud last two Dacians, while his coven mates waited for him. Behind the other kings there were the twins, the witch twins, the ones responsible of the outcome of that battle, and finally war.
Aro looked down at the joint hands of his enemies, laughing softly. “You’ve fought valiantly, my dears, but I’m afraid that didn’t suffice”. Vladimir nearly lashed out against him, but Stefan held him back. Every Volturi enjoyed that view. Aro spoke again: “Perhaps you will consider joining our coven, given the… circumstances you’re currently in”. Both of them knew that Aro had a vampire who could make anyone change their loyalty, but they would die before that; they also knew that they needed to get out of that situation, away from the battlefield if they hoped to survive.
Vladimir let go of Stefan’s hand and quickly moved some steps further away from the enemies, seeing that there was a one of the burning swords he himself equipped the army with. He got that sword into his hands and made eye contact with Stefan, who nodded almost imperceptibly.
From here, it was all very quick: Vladimir used the burning sword to set fire to one of the tree next to them, but the Volturi were rather unimpressed. Stefan then spit on the ground, just next to the kings. He grinned as he spoke this very words: “Go to hell”. Then suddenly a burning branch fell right next to the leaders and, while everyone worried whether their lords had been injured, Vladimir and Stefan managed to escape.

Vladimir and Stefan didn’t speak the whole journey from the Cullens’ house to their own back in Romania: when his companion was angry, Stefan knew better than to try him. They entered the abandoned castle they called home and went separate ways, Vladimir disappeared somewhere in the undergrounds as soon as he stepped into the building. Stefan sighed but couldn’t help feel sorry for him.
Between the two of them, Vladimir certainly did not have patience. They had been waiting fifteen hundreds years to get their revenge on the Volturi and went to Forks as soon as they heard about the Bella Cullen situation. In the snowy clearing there had been a moment when everyone thought a fight would break out: some of the witnesses swiftly moved forward, ready to battle. In this very moment, Stefan got a grasp of his companion’s arm, holding him back. He was sure that the time wasn’t yet ready for their much wanted vendetta. Vladimir didn’t agree and said nothing ever since that moment.
Later, that night, Stefan calmly made his way to the undergrounds. There he found Vladimir sitting on the raw stone, staring into the nothingness. He tried to touch his shoulder but the blond wouldn’t let him. “I know why you’re upset, Vlad, but I just want to say that I did what I did or a greater good” he said. Vladimir seemed to want it go unanswered at first, but then he replied: “We had one good chance to attack them, and you made it vanish in front of our eyes”.
Stefan sighed and repeated: “I did it because we can’t have our revenge if we’re dead, I did it for a greater -”. he was soon cut off by Vladimir, who suddenly stood up and screamed: “Don’t you dare talk about greater good”. His voice was firm and strong at the beginning, but it soon started to fade. “I can’t believe we let our enemies walk away like that!”. Stefan felt his hearth, no, his whole person melt before the view of Vladimir in such a terrible state. His voice became softer that always and said: “Vlad, you have to trust me on this one, okay? Can you do that?”.
Vladimir, who had begun to sniffle already, whispered: “Go to hell”. Stefan was startled by this reply but then Vladimir hugged him firmly, and he understood that his old companion had agreed to trust him with his own life.
VLADIMIR HEADCANONS PLS
So, I kinda cheated because I said that requests were closed so that I could get back on the old ones, but honestly this headcanons just came to me. Naughty anon successfully tempted me!
For the last couple of months, he's let his hair grow out and just loves it when Ștefan braids or styles it.
At first, he wasn't fond of the nomadic lifestyle, because he understandably missed all the comforts his previous life as a king/emperor gave him.
He l o v e s swimming, especially in natural lakes.
Has a beautiful singing voice, he is constantly humming under his breath.
Sometimes he eats human food, even if it does weird things to his vampire body.
He's fluent in pretty much all the European languages.
At first he wasn't fond of the nomadic lifestyle, because he missed of the comforts his previous life as a king/emperor offered him. Slowly, Ștefan made him look on the bright side of the situation: they get to explore marvelous places, meet all kinds of people and even have a certain freedom.
He befriended Demetri. Well, half seduced him and half befriended him. Now every time the tracker "hunts them down", they all have a great time partying and hunting.
He likes music and he loves dancing. His favorite partner of all times is Ștefan; once he joked that he was glad Ștefan survived the wars because he could never survive without his dancing partner.
He likes sitting at those little tables in the streets.
He supports Ștefan no matter what, and is 100% commited to him. He's also very protective of the brunette.
He's a very good kisser. And like, the king of cuddles, even if he doesn't flaunt it.
Has a weird moral compass: he's not a vegetarian vampires because he doesn't have the heart to kill "those poor animals".
Speaks Ștefan's dialect solely to please him.
Likes to lay in meadows.
Thanks to Demetri, he wears clothes that suits him well and he's aware of that. Nonetheless, every and each time someone compliments him, he giggles and turns away.
He's hypnotized by fire, from small candles to bonfires.
He's a great storyteller but literally never mentions the Great Fall™, if not for some vague and non important details.
Surprisingly, he knows how to drive.
Sometimes, on Date Night™ he wears eyeliner.
He would never admit it, but he wants to enjoy life with Ștefan more than he wants to go back to his position as a king/emperor.
What's the dumbest thing stefan has ever done?
Politically speaking, not booby trapping the Volturi's castle while they were away in America.
Non politically speaking, he once poured pink dye in Vladimir's shampoo. Luckily, he has a scar to remind him of not making the same mistake.
A little domestic scene
[Vladimir x Ștefan]
Vladimir is reading peacefully on his armchair when he eyes Ștefan entering the room. The brunette has a weird smirk in his face, so Vladimir looks at him with suspicious growing inside of him.
"Vladimir..." Ștefan calls, in a playful tone.
"Yes?" the blond responds tentatively. Only when Ștefan takes a few steps forward, he notices that he hides his hands behind his back. He also noticed that Ștefan isn't smirking, but smiling.
The brunette gracefully takes a seat on the armrest. Out of the blue, he hands Vladimir a mysterious package, wrapped in elegant matte black paper.
Vladimir gasps a little but Ștefan plants a kiss on his forehead. "Don't worry, you didn't forget any anniversary. I just felt like spoiling you". Vladimir shakes his head but still looks for his boyfriend's lips; Ștefan, though, motions for him to open up his gift.
Carefully, Vladimir unwraps the paper and he can only get a glimpse of some cloth before Ștefan grabs it. He motions for Vladimir to stand up. "It's a raincoat, try it on!" he says, already reaching for Vladimir's arm, who is now smiling at him.
Once he has it on, Ștefan takes a few steps back to admire him. He nods approvingly, his mouth half open and his eyes sparking a certain happiness.
Vladimir giggles a bit, embarrassed by the sudden attention, and looks at his gift. "It's a beautiful colour" he comments, trying to keep a casual conversation. The raincoat was a shiny, dark blue. "Like the sky after a storm or something stupid and trivial like that" Vladimir thinks.
Now he's certain Ștefan is smirking. "I knew you would notice. It's how I imagine your eyes when you were human" he explains. Vladimir stiffens and turns his attention to him.
Ștefan quickly hurries over to him, and undoes the zipper and slides the raincoat off. Vladimir is confused and feels like he's said something wrong, but Ștefan turns the raincoat inside out, revealing a deep and rich burgundy. Once again, he helps Vladimir wearing it.
"But I have to say, I like you better with red eyes" Ștefan whispers, and Vladimir smiles just before pulling him into a loving kiss. He can feel Ștefan caressing his hair, his neck, his back; he perceives his thick clothes under his fingertips.
After a while, Ștefan takes again a few steps back, just to admire how well the raincoat suits his man. He has spent quite some time looking for the exact some red, and finally Vladimir's gorgeous eyes have their match.
Vladimir smiles at him, then he undoes his hair, letting the locks of white hair fall on his shoulder. He then goes back to his place on the armchair and motions to Ștefan to come forward.
The brunette certainly doesn't need a formal invite and takes his place on Vladimir's lap in a matter of milliseconds. He places a few kissed on his cheek, then on his neck.
The blond smiles. "Thank you for the gift" he purrs right into Ștefan's ear "how can I repay you?". The brunette smirks. "I can think of a few things" he replies, with a throaty chuckle.
