things to note:

best way to describe them is tranmasc/agender - they/them, comfortable with terms like "boy"/"man"

fox patronus is based off of the symbolism of foxes in mythology: trickers gods, spry, spirits. Not only is this a fit for their personality/fighting style (if they can avoid a fight by getting the "bad guys" to fight each other, they will), it's also an allusion to their Ancient Magic.

after the fight with Harlow, Charlie never duels recreationally again and works extra hard to avoid fights when and where they can

before they found out they were magic, assumed they would be going into the church.

their boggart is harlow and rookwood.

ancient magic: going to be expanded on later, but it's very clear when the AM has taken over. AM is, in a sense, Charlie's inner guard dog- it's ready to possess at a moment's notice in order to keep it's host safe. Eyes go bright blue, their movements are mechanical and inhuman, they don't reply when someone calls their name.

appearance: tall, gangly, freckled all over. only slightly fills out with age-- stays pretty gangly forever. has braids up through ~21, then makes the change over to locs. after the ranrok battle they have a lichtenberg scar on their right side from the shoulder up to their temple, and cannot hear out of their right ear.

plays piano and plays it well. loves to compose. Chopin is their favorite composer.

favorite book is pride and prejudice. has a well-worn copy that appears to be held together by a necromantic spell and a prayer.

Very High Society until Hogwarts, then they embrace getting to be working class, raised as a ward of their Auntie Katherine (their mother's sister)

gets motion sick VERY EASILY. do not ask them to fly. when charlie told their father, a naval captain, their father could not stop laughing.

here's why they're transmasc (not that i really needed an excuse)

relationships with canon characters:

ominis gaunt: rocky start but eventually become best friends - once the whole incident of the Relic happens and sebastian is gone for a year, they become brothers. charlie is eventually the uncle to ominis' children.

sebastian sallow: their patroclus. their anchor to rationality and humanity. i am a big "red string of fate" person and these two are fated - achilles and patroclus. should sebastian die, it's over for the WW because charlie is taking the magic and fucking everybody up. charlie's velvel ("wolfie"). luckily they get to grow old together after the two of them get their act together at 30.

leander prewett: charlie's buddy and confidant. has definitely thrown charlie over his shoulder when charlie got too competitive.

poppy sweeting: these two together are the elmo gif with fire in the background. they are the untitled goose game. they will cause antics together. they will cause problems on purpose. poppy sees the side of charlie that's been changed by becoming the chosen one, and is one of the few people to find things for them to do that doesn't surround quests.

natsai onai: absolutely best friends who sat up every night in the common room chatting. natty taught charlie hair care, and charlie trusts natty with everything. natty is the only person charlie felt safe enough to have a screaming match with about the ministry once natty revealed she was going to be an auror. they communicate by looks.

garreth weasley: they make potions together when professor sharp allows it. charlie appreciates the quiet side-by-side work.
