How to improve x factor

I’m watching x factor right now and it is awful. They push people through just for the fun of watching as they make fools of themselves on TV. How can somebody be so mean? Enjoying people becoming a laughing-stock publicly whithout them even realising it (fake or not, I know that people on these shows get instructions upon how to act, but many people don’t)

SO I HAD AN IDEA

Why don’t they make a show where children of different ages are the judges? At least for the auditions, you know? Children are honest, they would not give sb a ‘yes’ just because they sing so awful that it amuses them. They would only let the contestants pass if they like their singing, if it touches them. Of course they don’t have a 'professional’ view on things but i guess that’s exactly what would make it so special. In later stages of the show you would probably need adult judges to coach the contestants and stuff. But the children would safe so many people from public humiliation!
