He knew the feeling. Bucky hadn’t really thought he’d get out, either. Then again, Bucky hadn’t thought much of anything for a while. Sure, he had a brain and an inner monologue, but his thoughts were devoted to whatever mission Hydra had sent him on. But he knew the feeling all the same. “Yeah.” He knew all too well the training the Widows underwent. He’d helped train them, after all. “It’s tough. It fuckin’ sucks. But it—it’ll get better. Eventually.” He was still hoping it would get better.

No. She hadn’t done anything wrong. Natasha had always been on edge around other Widows. She didn’t need to, and she knew it was entirely unfounded, but she was always scared they would see through her. She didn’t want them branding her as a fraud. She didn’t want them telling SHIELD about all of her failings. “No.” She shifted her weight. “You didn’t.” She didn’t plan on saying anything else unless she had to.
