Night Train
Bang Yedam
Your head was turned to the glass window, watching as the raindrops fell along the surface, blurring the image of your surroundings, making you sigh and fog the glass slightly. A few minutes later you felt the train begin to slow down and an announcement for your station was made. You quickly got up and as you got to the door and waited for it to open, you realized you had a few more people joining you to get off.
The doors hissed open and you stepped outside taking in your surroundings. The station was almost empty, no soul except you and those who got off, among them being an old man with a gift bag, a pregnant lady and her husband and another young girl who was busy ignoring everything with her music at full volume.
But in amid of feeling tired and waiting, you forgot the reason you came here when your eyes fell over the large clock that hung from the rafter which showed half past one, was it that late already?
You got out of your trance when you suddenly felt someone embracing your figure from behind, a familiar fragrance mixing with the smell of rain, coming to you, "you came."
"You too," you turned around to face your lover who's features were being complemented by the blue, station light, and smiled at him, "Yedami..."
"Of course I did," Yedam smiled back and leaned in, placing his lips over yours in a small kiss, "I missed you so much."
"I'm here now," you cupped his face as he leaned in your touch despite the coolness of your hands.
"Not for long though," he tried to suppress his sadness in his statement but it was still obvious to you.
"I'm sorry," you reasoned, "You know why..."
He nodded his head knowing your situation due to which you had to secretly meet him like this. He smiled reassuringly, moving back to get the umbrella which had been abandoned on the seat where he was waiting for you, previously.
Getting beneath it, you both made your way deeper into the station. Lights were on, yet the place was so cold for some reason. You had no trouble finding the stairway which lead to the street you had to get to and with a small sigh of relief as the sound of the rain seemed to slow down, your feet moved towards his apartment to finally spend some time with each other.
The light pitter patter of rain which was previously bothering you, was now sounding melodious because of the presence besides you. You laced your arm with Yedam's and placed your head against his shoulder.
"When is the next train?"
You looked back up at him and paused for a moment, "Four, forty five," tone upset as you replied.
"We have less time but I'm glad you made it," his arm circled around your waist while other still gripped the umbrella, "We'll make it worth."
You hummed while nodding your head as you both neared his home, "I love you."
Your sudden confession smeared contentment in his heart making it beat faster, "I love you too."
