i agree it's really annoying, it was fun playing an unbalanced game when i was younger, but now Xenthar the 13th level assassin capable of killing a lesser god is more annoying than anything

It's probably bad that the 1-to-20 campaign has become such a lauded thing in D&D culture. Like, I think it probably creates a pressure to keep going with a campaign long after it should be done, and 5e's already tenuous balance breaks down even harder at high levels, so it's taxing on DMs, etc.

But I am endlessly grateful that it has given us the tradition of reddit DMs doing AMAs after completing one. That's just very funny. "I hung out with my friends regularly for like, three years. Interview me about it."

Like, okay buddy, what should I ask? How many of them did you make out with, and what's your plan for improving those numbers next quarter?
