Disaster [Leo x Reader]

Disaster [Leo X Reader]

Leo's thoughts keep floating back to what you told him. You explained it thoroughly when he confessed his feelings in the park.

"Leo, its sweet that you feel that way." You looked so sad, did you have someone else? "But you deserve better. See, when I was just graduating, I was taken and...and..."

Leo felt a strong shudder racing up his spine. You had been so upset telling him you had been an experiment by...well you didn't know what or who did it. But you knew what was suppose to be different, that you were suppose to be a kind of super soldier.

And you didn't want to use that. You were afraid that somehow you were some kind of sleeper agent or something.

While the fact you jumped straight to spy movie plots was charming to Leo, he understood your manner of thinking completely. He wouldn't want to be used just for his abilities either. Though, that was his whole job at Libra, technically.

But Leo was more than delighted to share an apartment with you and be able to come home to such a sweet significant other. Seeing that you wanted to live a domestic life despite your past. Leo adored that about you, and wanted you to be happy.

But when he finally made it home, he dropped all the things he was carrying. Sonic leapt off his shoulder, inspecting your seemingly lifeless body in the floor. Leo was panicked seeing you lying in a puddle of blood. Sonic had to punch him to get him to move, and Leo hit his knees first.

He couldn't see an external wound but the blood was slowly pouring from your mouth. His mind went racing, what should he do? Was this an accident? Had someone broke in? What was going on?

Leo's phone was out and dialing Steven's number first. Explaining the situation before calling emergency services. Leo paced back and forth, mind turning every possible explanation there was over and over. He felt so damn hopeless.

But, he was able to see you in the hospital bed. It felt so wrong to him, and Dr. Estevez wasn't very talkative at the moment. But Leo could only focus on you anyways. He wanted an explanation.

"I'm sorry I didn't say anything sooner." Your voice was so low, so weak, "This whole time. Its been a nightmare. My whole body aching from that surgery. At first I could ignore it, but over time it got worse."

"W-why didn't you...?"

"I didn't want you to worry too much. It's my cross to bear."

"I want to help you [Name]. You could never worry me too much. I worry about you all the time. And even all this, I'll always worry about you."

You looked down, away from Leo, "I..."

"Excuse me." Dr. Estevez piped up, " I think there's a little important information I should share."

Both of you looked at the small doctor, "You see, whatever DNA splicing was done. It can't be undone. There isn't a way to remove it or stabilize it either. It wouldn't be long before something more dangerous ruptures. And well, [Name] is already on life support as is from their gallbladder's tiny rupture. You two might need to consider everything before making any decisions."

Leo looked back at you. The answer you were going to give was written all over your face. The things you kept so carefully guarded away for so long, things even his eyes couldn't see. All of it on full display.

"[Name]."

Leo grabbed your hand, unspoken words affirming everything he was thinking. And putting you at ease. He leaned in and kissed you softly, wanting to help relieve some of the pain at least. But, this would be the last time. There was nothing else he could do.

Unable to Help [Klaus x Reader]

Unable To Help [Klaus X Reader]

Klaus had waited long enough to find where you were. After you went off grid, Klaus spent endless hours searching for any kind of a lead for you. It wasn't like you to do so, which tipped Klaus off that something was wrong. And sadly, it took him 10 months to gather enough information to find you. And Klaus was beside himself, ready to see you and get you home safely.

While knowing you were in the bowels of a blood breed's lair did nothing for Klaus's mental state, he knew you'd be strong enough to not succumb to the curse. It wasn't ideal, but he could help you deal with the curse. He would do anything to convince you to come back home.

Perhaps he was a bit too reckless, marching straight through the castle-like structure. But his weapon was drawn, he had his fighting glove at the ready. Anything that jumped out at him was in for a rude awakening of being decked into next week.

Until he realized his punch sent you flying backwards. The surprise of what looked like a blood breed coming at him clouded his ability to recognize you. But then again, you rose from the floor with a sick, twisting grin. Klaus's heart sank as you lunged forward again. Your voice contorted in a growl begging for his blood.

He had gotten here too late, you were already a blood breed. Bitten 13 times and whipped into a frenzy from lack of victims around you. Klaus felt his soul cracking from having to defend himself from you.

"[Name]! Its me! Its Klaus!" His desperation was falling on deaf ears sadly, "Please! Calm down! We can figure this out together! You aren't like this!"

The longer Klaus fought with you, the worse he felt. The growing realization that you couldn't be reasoned with. That you were gone, replaced by this monstrous creature trying to drink his blood. Klaus knew what he had to do, but he couldn't bring himself to seal you away. But Klaus didn't have a choice.

"Ewigkeit Gefängnis!"

Klaus hit his knees, catching the cross that contained your soul. The fading echo of your scream still ringing in his ears. He knew sealing a blood breed hurt the creature, and thinking that the last thing he had done was hurt you.

It killed Klaus.

"Well, well, well. Seems not every fanghunter is very strong then." Klaus's head snapped up, tears still thick under his glasses, "That one was absolutely weak for example. Turning them was so easy and yet. Hm, I can't help but feel they should have put up more of a fight."

Klaus felt like his body was on auto pilot. Another blood breed. This one insulting him, insulting his beloved. How dare this thing call you weak!

Klaus didn't register the movement of his body. He didn't feel the pains of being thrown around. He didn't notice when he dropped your cross by the door. All he saw, all he knew, was red...rip this blood breed limb from limb. Make it suffer for what it did to you. Make sure it couldn't do anything like that again.

Steven and Leo entering the room, drawn by the dull roaring of anguish and heavy slams stopped in the door. Klaus looked monstrous himself. Relentlessly attacking the blood breed, no matter how much blood spilled from his veins.

When Steven looked down, he noticed a cross. His eyes widened, putting the pieces together so quickly he couldn't even blame Klaus for his rage. While Steven knew talking sense into Klaus was pointless, they couldn't let him continue this blood soaked rage.

And Leo, not bothering to look for the whole story before getting the job done, had calmed Klaus in an instant. Sending him the name of the blood breed over text.

Klaus wasted no time sealing the creature away. Giving it the exact same fate it had sent his lover to. And standing extremely still afterwards. Shaking with rage, pent up frustrations that slowly dissolved into immense grief. He lost you. No victory so close to that event would ever feel like a true victory.

Steven was slow to approach his red-haired friend. Even in offering him the cross that held you trapped inside. Steven couldn't keep himself from fearing the man that had gone from feral beast to deadly calm in a matter of seconds. Though that was short lived as Klaus hit his knees again. Clutching your cross and sobbing uncontrollably.

When he finally was home, Klaus just laid there. Wishing this had played out some other way. If he had been faster, if he had done more. Would you still?

He turned to your empty pillow, laying your cross on the soft surface. Tears leaking out of his eyes as he fell asleep due to just how tired he was.

Klaus was standing in a large open field. A lone tree over a bridge and a figure sitting in its shade. There was nothing else he could do except approach.

"Uh, excuse me?" Klaus reached out to get the other's attention, each step slow and tentative, "Hello? Where are we?"

Klaus stopped, when the figure rose. He couldn't stop himself from sprinting full speed, fumbling his attempt to hug you. His knees buried in the dirt as he clung to your waist like a child. You patted his back slowly.

"I... I'm so sorry [Name]. I... I should have..."

"Shh, you did everything you could Klaus." His tear stained face looked up at you, taking in every tiny detail, "I can rest. I'm no longer a monster. I can go on because of you."

Klaus leaned into your hand as you brushed away his bangs. Trying to hold your hand against his face. Knowing this was just a dream, but wanting so badly for it to be real. Wishing he could bring you back with him. If only...
