Ok everyone! I'm still here. Since August I think I had something like an artblock, which resulted in trying new techniques and I realized that for now I've got a bit tired of digital art. Thus, oil... I've never tried it before and you can imagine how surprised I was when it came out that my digital brushes were set very very similar to real oil technique. It all means that now I'm here with oil. I might be posting with a bit losses in frequency, cause traditional painting takes more time, and it also doesn't mean that there will be no digital art. young garak always hurts to think about. like for obvious reason. but also bc of the whole notion that at every stage of your life your future self is watching over you. reaching back through time to hold your hand and say ‘we made it through this. we survived. and we are who we are in part because of the suffering youre feeling now. its gonna be ok’ and asit is just one big love letter to the kid he never got to be. and its wild to think that while he was running around commiting assasinations and espionage a much older and wiser version of himself was looking back through his memory and saying ‘i remember you. and im sorry’ and every time he would come back to whatever tiny apartment the order had set him up in and spend the night feeling empty and shallow he could have never fathomed how his life would take shape or how important he really was and that is so comforting to me personally. but also so sad. we all have to suffer to become ourselves to a degree art trek
