Hey there! May I request a fic of Akira and Yusuke crushing on the same person, who's pretty oblivious when it comes to romantic hints? (With polyam themes if possible, like they just slowly start to crush on eachother, too?)
Crushing More Than Once (Akira Kurusu x Reader x Yusuke Kitagawa)
You know, having a crush on someone who is extremely oblivious to anything romantic is quite a challenge. A challenge that Kurusu and Kitagawa had to face. But oh a challenge that will have a great award at the end.
How oblivious that you are? Well if either of them would make an entire box of chocolate about confessing their love for you you would think "Aww what a great friend that I have." That would hurt more than the Reaper's shotgun. But that will slowly dull down after several attempts was when they realized that you were just really oblivious.
When they start to make it a little more public that they were getting your attention, as in complementing you more than you usually or showing off more in battles is when Kurusu and Kitagawa notice that they both had a crush on you.
This challenge had became a lot harder, this became a competition.
It was pretty funny to the others in the group, as there wasn't actually harm being dumb and it was a new source of entertainment with, admittedly, same usual routine in the Metaverse. Compliments, gifts, more and longer hangouts, getting physical close to you (if you are comfortable with that of course), but nothing could dent that obliviousness that you had.
But then, as days go on they realized...
They might have developed feelings for each other. This will complicate things. However, after some days of thinking about this and how to handle this they decide to talk to each other. As they sort out their feelings, they felt like have things figure out and felt like things will work out. Now, they still have a crush on you and that their feelings with each other will not go away anytime soon.
So why not kill two birds with one stone?
They figure out a plan for both of them confessing their love to you and hopefully break that oblivious shield that you had.
After some brainstorming, a highly detailed plan, revisions, practicing, some blood and sweat poured into it...they finally done it. They broke that shield of yours and accepted BOTH of their confessions. Happiness fills up their heart as they finally complete the challenge, with some unexpected bonus in the middle of it.
They couldn't ask for a more better ending.

for a second he sits there, flustered, before returning the gesture and resting his head on your shoulder.
he loves it so much. it brings a certain sense of comfort to him, knowing that your there.
he will reach down and grab your hand, giving it a little squeeze.
the quiet little restaurant was nearly empty, the few people in there being you and Yusuke, and Ryuji, Ann, and Akira. It had been quite an eventful day.
you and Yusuke had known eachother since middle school, and the two of you had a strong friendship; one that quickly blossomed into love.
And never in the 4 years that you had known him, had you ever seen him so....dejected. You felt a pang in your heart. He deserved so much more, but here he was, having been lied to by one of the few people he trusted; The man he considered his father. He sat in his seat beside you, staring quietly at the table as your new friends chatted away. His eyes were dull, the deep prussian blue lacking its usual shine. You wanted to say so many things to him. But you knew it would be best to say all of that a different time. So you did the only other things you could think of to reassure him.
You scooched closer to him, intertwining your hands. he perked up a bit. You slowly leaned down, until your head was gently touching his, giving his hand a squeeze. he squeezed back, leaning his head into your shoulder, and as he spoke his voice was barley a whisper.

even when he was with Madarame, Yusuke was the one feeding himself
the fact that you would put so much effort in to making sure he was eating made him so happy
he sits there with a small smile, his cheeks dusted in pink
After the Madarame incident, Yusuke really started to struggle with food because he no longer had someone to provide for him. he was also having trouble figuring out if he should spend his little money on art supplies or food, which caused his situation to get even worse
the fact that you noticed makes his heart feel like its about to burst, in the nicest way possible :)
It had been a week since Madarame had turned himself in. You knew Yusuke was taking it terribly. You could tell. Its not like it was hard to see.
he seemed paler than usual, and his eye bags were deeper, darker. He seemed tired. Even when he was at school he was different. Usually he was so full of enthusiasm, eager to cover a blank canvas in colour and give it life. Now he sat on his wooden chair, his eyes just as blank as the canvas. You had tried to talk to him many times, tried to tell him you were always there, that he could always talk to you; but he would blow you off, saying things like "Im fine. you need not worry, my love". But you knew him better than that.
which is what leaded you to where you are now. You glance at the clock. Its 11 pm. you know you should sleep, but what's one sleepless night in comparison to all that Yusuke as gone through? sleep could wait.
a blue plastic bento box sat Infront of you, filled with various snacks and foods you new he enjoyed. As long as it took you to make everything, it was a lot of fun to make everything look cute.
the only part you were nervous for, was giving it to him.
The morning passes by in a blur, and soon enough, its time to give Yusuke his gift. You place yourself infront of his desk.
he looks up at you, eyes curious. you slowly pull out the bento box, before placing it on your side of the desk, then slowly sliding it over to his side.
"W-whats this?" he asks, eyes wide. as soon as he opens it he's met with a delicious sent, one that brings a smile to his face.
His cheeks are red, and his smile is large, larger than you've seen it in weeks. he reaches for your hand and gives it a squeeze.
"I love you, Yusuke." You whisper, squeezing his hand back.
"I love you more, darling" he whispers back.

At first, Ryuji didn't think he would be good at helping you out. But he was determined to make sure you felt better.
you lied on his bed, a cup of tea on the bedside table beside you. Your face was slightly contorted in pain, a sight that made Ryuji frown. He came to sit beside you, rubbing his hand along your back in slow soothing motions, before leaning down to whisper in you ear.
"I got a bath ready for ya, babe" He said softly, pressing a kiss to your cheek. you smiled, making his eyes light up. you both slowly walked to the bathroom, his arm wrapped around your waist. On the bathroom counter were an assortment of face masks, which you assumed had come from his mom.
he left you to get into the bathtub, preparing a fuzzy blanket and your favourite snacks for you so the two of you could snuggle after your bath.

A soft orange glow filled Yusuke's dorm as the two of you sat together eating Chinese take out. His window's curtains were open, allowing you to look out onto the streets of Shibuya at night. his room smelled nice, like soft lavender, and faintly of vanilla.
in hushed voices the two of you talked, about everything. you had known he was a phantom thief for a while, so sometimes he would tall about his adventures. Sometimes the two of you opted to read instead, like tonight.
The empty containers of Chinese food were scattered across Yusuke's wooden table, the two of you sprawled on his bed, legs tangled together. He lied on his back, you laying on his chest, book lightly resting on your back. he had moved the light closer to the two of you so he could see better.
you could faintly hear the traffic of the city down below, which mixed with Yusuke's voice perfectly, lulling you to sleep.
Yusuke put his book down once he heard your soft snores, rubbing your back as he slowly drifted off as well.

he knows it doesn't have much to do with your throat but he hopes it will at least help you feel better :)
His dorm room is FREEZING and cold temperatures can make your throat sore, or make it hurt more if it already is, so he wraps you up in fuzzy blankets like a burrito
presses kisses to your face while your all cozy :)
reads your favourite book to you and if you don't like books he'll watch your favourite show with you
he does have medicine, but he kinda seems like the type of person who prefers natural remedies, so definitely plays around with teas and other things that can make you feel better
his bed is weirdly comfy, and it definitely smells a lot like him
i kinda feel like he'd have a very soft scent, like jasmine, or maybe a soft vanilla scent. or clean clothes. maybe a mix of all
Your throat hurt so bad it felt raw. Every time you swallowed, or even breathed, it felt like your throat had swollen up and simultaneously been scratched by a very angry cat. You did everything in the book to get rid of it, Drinking water, having spoonful's of honey, and even tried to gargle salt water, but if anything, it felt like all of it had made it worse.
At times like this, only one thing could make you feel better. You slowly and sadly walked over to your boyfriends dorm, angry and annoyed. As soon as you arrived and explained your situation, as hard as it was with the pain of your throat, he got right to it.
He made you sit down in his bed, wrapping a blanket around you and started making tea for you, even though you tried to explain that you had already tried. He hushed you with a quick "trust me", and you let him do his thing, leaning into the soft pillows of his bed.
His room smelled nice, and so did the blanket wrapped around you. He had candles lit throughout his room, a warm vanilla scent drifting through the air. Soon enough you found yourself trying to stay awake.
Yusuke finished up making his special remedy for you, and placed the warm cup in your hand. Honestly, your throat hurt so bad you didn't think you could even open your mouth, but you tried anyways. It tasted good, milky and sweet. You finished it quickly, the lingering taste of honey in your mouth. Now you felt even more tired than you did before.
Yusuke noticed this, and stacked pillows and blankets around you, making his bed mor comfortable, before crawling in with you and pulling you against his chest. He was warm, and he smelt just as sweet as the rest of his room.

You, on the other hand, had been forced to stay home instead of going on the trip as well, because you were sick the day of the flight. At first you didn't think it was that bad. You would call eachother when you could, and he would promise every time to bring back a souvenir for you.
But now? you were grumpy and irritable. it may have been 5 days, but it sure felt like 5 weeks.
you were waiting impatiently at the airport, Yusuke's plain having just landed. Your patients was waring thinner and thinner by the second, and you tapped your foot on the ground as you waited in your chair. He couldn't be that much longer, right?
Wrong.
A flight attendant announced over the speaker that there had been some internal issues on the flight that your boyfriend was still on, and that it would be at least another 20 minutes before they could get of the plain.
You frowned, sighing loudly. You and Yusuke texted back and forth, you complaining about the wait, and him comforting you and telling you that it wouldn't be that much longer.
soon enough, you saw his face peek out the "Arrivals" door, and that was all it took to send you running.
you leaped from your chair, running as fast as you could in his direction, not caring if you knocked into other people. he barley had time to put down his bags before you were in his arms.
he held you tight as you wrapped your legs around his waist. He held your thigh for support, one arm still around you. You buried your face into his shoulder, breathing in his scent of soft vanilla, and clean clothes.
you settled into his arms, breath evening out as you got comfortable with him. the two of you whispered "I missed you"'s and "i love you"'s to one another, and for the first time in the five days he had been gone, you smiled.
