I'm seriously done with this emperor. His singleminded obsession with his Zisheng romantic life is not cute anymore. "Ignore how your whole family will be executed. Bc Zisheng himself would be totally fine with his in-laws dead and defamed and his fiancee mentally broken bc of this right?

The emperor is the same like the 90% other cdrama emperors. Utterly useless and brainless. We haven't really seen him rule the country for any bit and I can't recognize the man who supposedly defeated all of the other contenders in the fight for the crown. Like, were they even more incompetent than him? Did Consort Yue actually win the crown for him??
"Too stressful I won't deal with it, I leave the whole investigation to the bureau." At this point I wish he had smt to do with the Huo's demise. That would explain his (guilt ridden? ) obsession for Zisheng to only focus on the future and leaving the past alone. That tantrum throwing emperor didn't care for having a talented general leading an inexperienced troop. No, he threw a pancake in said general's face bc that guy actually dared to ask to go to war and get the best and safest outcome for the citizens instead of having a grand wedding celebration first.
The only cdrama emperor where I could understand why he's the emperor and how he stayed emperor for so long, was the guy from Joy of Life.
