so i know we don’t exactly know how rich acts without his SQUIP active, but i think based on the little scene before vimh, he’s like just a really funny and random guy!! y’know!! like he says silly random things to try and make people laugh.

i think that maybe him and christine would become friends ish post SQUIP if maybe they started sitting together at lunch? maybe them two, jeremy, michael, and whoever else decides to join them. probably jake for one, supposing he and rich are still friends.

and i think they’d get along well because they both just say RANDOM things!! they match each others silliness levels!!!!

and i think it would be good for Rich in a way. i think that post- SQUIP he’d still be trying to figure out how to stop saying things he shouldn’t. because his SQUIP made him rude, obviously, we all know that. so suppose he has a hard time completing stopping making bad jokes about stuff. like he’s obviously NOT homophobic since he’d just realized he himself is a part of the community, but sometimes he would just say things without thinking that would give the wrong impression. or suppose ableism. i feel like that would also be a big thing. ive never met a popular highschool boy that isn’t at least a LITTLE bit of an asshole about autistic people. i think that would be hard for him to stop joking about too.

i think specifically to jeremy. like. he’d say stuff like “you sound autistic when you say stuff like that 😭😭” or like “dude that makes you look so autistic lmao” and then he’d be confused why no one laughs. because he’s only TRYING to be a funny guy!! but it’s just really genuinely not funny at all. or stimming jokes. bruv my friends always did those last year and im so over it 😭🙏🙏 they’d pretend to have a wholeass seizure and then exclaim “ohh im happy stimming im happy stimming!”

or maybe jokes about michael being gay that were supposed to funny or flirting-ish but just felt super homophobic. stuff like that. “jokes” that aren’t funny.

but i think christine would definitely keep him in check about it!!!! one thing about her is that she doesn’t keep her thoughts inside her head. if she does it’s on very rare occasion. so i think if rich said something that made her upset she’d be very quick to tell him why it’s not funny.

i think once she figured out he doesn’t WANT to be mean, and that he doesn’t MIND her telling him when to not say things, they’ll start getting along a lot better. she won’t be rude when telling him not to say stuff and he’ll gradually STOP saying stuff he shouldn’t

Michael was my favorite character for a very long time- and I still love and adore him, I just have somewhat moved on from him being my number one.

That does not however dismiss the damage he did to my personality by being my favorite character of all time for three straight years and a background favorite character for six.

For the popular ship square, I said kind of, because while I used to be insane for Jeremy/Michael, I’m a lot more interested in their dynamic as friends now. But, the other ship I consider popular for him (Rich/Michael) has been so poisoned for me in the past that I cannot find an ounce of joy in it and actively dislike it.

Also fandom gets really fucking weird about him- particularly when they water down his character and baby-fy him. Or the obsession with the fact that he’s Filipino while ignoring the fact that he’s Ecuadorian. Weird behavior.

Anyway, Michael Mell. Love him, adore him.
