He wasn’t originally in the movie so it’s pretty clear that they would end the play with the character that she was with in the movie
Like I love the dynamic and its very interesting to explore but that doesn’t make them endgame.
A ship doesn’t need to be together in canon for you to enjoy it. It just confuses me that I’ll see shippers saying they should have ended up together. No they shouldn’t have. I don’t think we would have gotten a very plausible happy ending with the two of them. Russia would have noticed both of them disappearing.

you definitely have a point with this, a lot of revival fans I interact with can be this way as well and it's SO frustrating to see the complete misinterpretation of falsettos and the lack of care of the characters. although, the revival typically is people's first falsettos production they watch, since it's in the highest quality and is typically more accessible, and most revival fans that start out w it are quite chill !! and then they check out other falsettos productions bc of a care for the media. My first falsettos was the revival but I loved it a lot so I went and watched others and fell in love w the obc. I don't think it's anything to do with the production people watch, whether its revival or obc i think the weird fandom behavior is solely just bc of the person watching rather than it just being revival fans being weird. Bc a lot of revival fans I've interacted with have been awesome!! and I'm a revival fan as well! I feel like if the revival fans watched the obc first they'd still be weird fujoshis regarding whizzvin. I've met some ..... interesting obc fans as well but you're right theyre usually more likely to be cool rather than revival fans, just bc the revival is a bit more accessible and has a wider audience
