AMERICAN DREAM
AMERICAN DREAM
First fic in a while đđ
:(no outbreak) Sarah, drinking, dilfs. Ranch on pizza, food. Hives AFAB reader. Periods

Joel would often wonder what his life would be like, would he have that American dream? Would she have stayed? Would he not be a contractor living day to day in a house he can barely afford.
Would she still be a doctor instead of running away at the sight of a positive test. Would she be the mother she wanted to be.
Maybe instead she wouldâve been a stay at home mom, nursing babies and enjoying life. Would he have had that cushy job her mother approved of.
He sees her in his dream sometimes, hair tied back like always, especially when she was thinking. Hard at thought; nose in her textbooks.
But instead she was eternalized by his dreams, stuffed into baggy clothes to hide the bump, crying in the shitty apartment they were living in.
In his dreams shes standing in the kitchen, Sarah tucked under her arm as sheâs mashing potatoes, angrily grunting away and blabbing about some girl on the soccer team.
Sometimes heâd like to imagine the two of them having another kid, sometimes heâd imagine her stomach swollen still covered in those hives she used to get.
Sarah gets them, stressed, in the sun too much. Her skin flares and she ends up with her skin scratched raw, spoon feeding her ice cream in an ice bath.
Heâd imagine her, kissing him at the door and untightening his tie, taking his briefcase and setting it by the coffee table he built.
Instead heâs taking his flannel off and seeing Sarah once again making eggs, âhi sweetie, you ok?â Heâll ask kissing the part of her hair.
âYeah, I made eggs.â She always says, âI put cheese in them too. If you grab some of the bread and toast it I can put some bacon on tooâ
âNo âm alright sweetheart. The guys ordered pizza, brought you some for lunch tomorrowâ
âThanksâ she says, scratching the back of her hair to which Joel lifts it up seeing the small lumps with red circles around, âhivesâ
âUh oh, do I need to go buy icecream?â He jokes
âNo, no im fine.â
Itâs when Sarah starts truly growing up when he is at a loss; unsure of what to do. Confused and nervous. But aware of the young adult neighbors whoâd moved in.
Itâs an awkward situation, nervously knocking on a door heâs only interacted with once. And that was just introducing himself and Sarah.
Itâs just about seven at night, and a young woman appears at the door after some shouting. Itâs clear sheâs half asleep; the television blaring in the background. Thereâs a girl passed out on the floor and the woman at the door turns back, âBecca, turn Sofie on her side. If she barfs sheâs gonna chokeâ she stares before closing the door.
A southern accent drawls from her voice, one clearly hidden from years out of state, âsomethin I can help you with?â She asks, sweeping some hair out of her eyes.
âM so sorry for the bother, my daughter. Uh Sarah. Sheâs uhâ he nervously looks at the ground, âgot her period.. and I uh donât know what to doâ
âOh yeah, give me a secâ
She runs back inside; and whilst Joel is completely expecting for her to ditch she comes out later with a box of pads, âI remember her, uh will you show me to her?â The twenty something girl.
He leads her upstairs knocking on the crummy white door, âsar, itâs one of the neighbors. Sheâs a uh. Girl and I think she will know what to doâ
âOk..â the muffled voice is shaky and clear that she had been crying.
âHey. Iâm y/nâ you tell her your name and she responds with hers.
âY/n, Iâll be downstairs. Beer?â
âNo thank you Mr.Miller. I donât drink on school nightsâ
âAlright. Iâll be downstairsâ
You see him more and more, drinks now and then. Babysitting for some extra cash. A cool house that isnât full of partying.
He finds you, usually asleep on the couch, Sarahâs head on your lap. He sees the similarities between you and her, heat hives.
Itâs unexpected when he finds you in the shower, âyou alright?â
âGosh Iâm sorry Mr.Miller, Im breaking out in hives and Sarah said I could use the cold showerâ
âNo, youâre alright. Do I pop a bottle of wine and order pizza?â
âGod thatâd be lovely.â
Joel never opens wine unless itâs with you, and you manage do drink half of it. And half a pizza, with Sarahâs assistance of course, âI didnât know a sorority girl could eat that muchâ Joel jokes seeing you dip your pizza into some ranch.
âMnh, I also played volleyball and was on my collages soccer team before I graduatedâ You say, ânever missed a meal, kept my mass up, Iâm on the bulk right nowâ You inform
âJesus, ranch with pizza? What are you a wild animalâ
You laugh at him as Sarah looks disapprovingly. He still walks you home and waits for you to lock the door before he goes home.
Sarah is still there, eating leftover pepperoni, âyou like herâ she states
âDonât lie you lil twerpâ
âNo Iâm serious, non of the others made you open up like that, and I wouldnât mind having her around. I mean she basically lives here anywaysâ

VOLLEYBALL SZN
Heavily inspired by @brokenanxiety headcannons of mat barzal dating a vball player âźď¸
Mat Barzal x fem reader (volleyball player)

Im a senior in collage. #87 on NYUâs volleyball team for varsity. My boyfriend does his own thing, hockey for the islanders.
Usually our schedules donât line up, Iâll have a game and he has training. He has a game and I have training. The only time theyâve ever lined up is during training camps. But even then we can barely see each other. And even then our training camps have a no fraternization rule.
The islanders have never been too fond of sharing facilities with a collage v ball team.
âWe had a game forfeit so are you still good with me coming to see you playâ he whispers into my ear as I rub lotion onto my forearms in preparation for the bruises.
âMm, if you want too. Usually they make you practice instead right?â I ask as Mat watches me braid my hair and raise it into a ponytail.
âYeahh.. but I told the guys about this and they wanted me to come.. theyâll probably show up halfway through and bring the team out for pizzaâ he tells me as his hands rub up and down my thighs.
âReally? Youâre willing to feed a group of starved varsity volleyball players after the biggest tournament of the season?â I inquire turning my head around to face him. Heâs still all smiles and giggles with his head laid into my neck.
âIs that a bad thing?â
âNeverâ
Games are always fairly similar; the same nervous buzz that leads into the locker rooms. We all have matching hair.
âYou nervous?â Astrid asks as we stretch out and set and serve eachother for our warmups.
âAlways, but mat is here for like the first time ever and Iâm so nervousâ I grin a little bit
âIsnât he the one you hooked up with junior year? At the training camp?â She gasps out, âholy shit youâre dating?â She whisper shouts which attracts the attention of our other teammates
I nod, âbut Shh. We need to win this tournamentâ
The blonde nods as she puts on her knee guards.
It always feels cheesy when I say that Matâs cheers are the only ones I can hear against the roar of the crowd. I feel like Iâm gasping for breath as Iâm diving and saving.
Iâm knocking my head sometimes; scrambling for the ball and using my arms to save it.
We end the game in overtime, winning barely with a 2 to 1 score.
I change back into a baggy shirt instead of my uniform but I donât have the care to change out of my shorts, âDo yâall want pizza?â I ask as we gather up our bags and let our hair out.
âYess, but whoâs buying?â Ella asks as she cracks her knuckles
âMat, and his team. They said they were gonna take us out for dinnerâ I inform and Ella grins before rattling out the most Ella like sentence Iâve ever heard
âDo they now how much we can eat?â
âNo. No they do notâ
Thereâs six girls, plus six other 6â+ hockey players. Itâs a bit of a feast, âfuck are we starvedâ Abby smiles as the majority of the girls eat.
Iâm happily seated next to mat with his hand on my thigh as we eat, âdid you have fun?â I ask him
âYeah, the moms werenât too thrilled seeing a hoard of hockey players screaming about volleyballâ he laughs softly and I smile at him
âIm still really happy you cameâ
âMe tooâ
Itâs a laughter seeing the team astonished at how much a group of girls can eat after four games and the final five to win.
Mat drives me home and Iâm falling asleep in the car ride home, âyou must be tired, huh pretty girl?â He smiles against my skin as he brings me up into our room
âSo tiredâ
(Idk how to end it l o l )
I rly hope you like it
INVISIBLE STRING
E. Williams
I love her sm

I donât know when these feelings started, the flutter in the depths of my stomach and my brain just turns to sludge when she places her hand on the small of my back. Slowly leading me out in the snow, I can feel her eyes on me as I just stand.
Iâm still as the snow flutters around me, Iâm fighting urges to just fall into the snow; the pillowy snow.
âItâs so quietâ I hear her whisper, she steps closer and I feel her hand slowly reach for mine, âI like this. It feels..â
âGood.. peaceful almost. Like nothing scary is actually going to come for usâ I finish for her.
The way she looks at me, the way her eyes flick over my body and I see her knees buckle a little; like she wants to step closer. But somethings holding her back.
âEllieâ I mumble, nervously licking my lips against the cold air. The wind that makes my eyes water and how the snow clings to my lashes.
She whispers my name; so quiet against the howl of the wind, âitâs bad..â I hear gently. I feel like Iâm losing my mind; that something in my heart just draws me closer and closer to her.
âWhat is?â I question, and Iâm leaning closer and closer to her.
âHow badly I want to kiss youâ
Her words donât even still in my mind before I almost throw myself onto her, pressing my lips against her. Itâs sloppy and uncoordinated but something about it feels right. And comfortable like this is where weâre supposed to be.
Her hand wraps around me, the curve of her elbow slowly deepening the kiss by resting on my waist.
When we break for air weâre giggling like little kids as her lips are close to mine, our noses brushing against each other, I take her hand and fall back into the snow.
She smiles; turning away from to catch her breath, âI like kissing youâ she says; just before she grabs a pile of snow and throws it into my face
HOCKEY PLAYER â¤ď¸ CANT SKATE FOR SHIT
Trevor Zegras

âTrev this feels like such a bad ideaâ I whine softly as he gently ties the skates onto my feet. Making sure that my fuzzy socks arenât tucked under eat the skates. He gently rubs my knee and pulls at my leggings to get me to stand, âif I fall you canât laugh at meâ I instruct as he lets me hold onto his biceps for support.
âI would never, I would make a tik tok first then make sure youâre alrightâ He replies as he backs out onto the little ice rink heâd made in my parents backyard. Heâs confidently backing up and sliding backwards onto the ice as my knees buckle and I dig my fingers into his baggy hoodie. Weâre matching; somewhat me with my leggings and one of his Ducks hoodie and heâs in black sweats and heâs in a hoodie that has my collage logo on it.
âYouâre evil, you know that right?â I admit as he brings me out to the center of the rink. Iâm wobbly like a newborn deer while heâs confident and certain that he can teach me to skate, ânononono where are you going?â I rapidly ask as he starts backing away from me; dropping my hands and leaving me.
âComeâereâ He grins at me and my misery, patting his thighs like Iâm a dog and will come running to him at his call, âitâs like walkingâ
âSays the guy who plays in the NHLâ I complain; sticking my arms out for balance as I slowly glide towards him, âoh my god oh my godâ I gasp out as I walk along the ice.
âLook at you!â He laughs and smiles; cackling even more as I trip and grab onto him and drag him down after catching myself on the ice, âouh!â He grunts put, dramatically flopping down and as I try to stand and he drags me down with him.
âTrev!â I gasp out; clutching my chest for air as I act winded to mock him.
He smiles and slowly gets back up then helping me up, âhold my hand really tight. Ok?â He instructs gripping onto my hands
âWhat are you doingâ I inquire gripping on as tight as I can, âTREVOR ZEGRASâ I shout out as he quickly starts sliding backwards, crossing his legs and gliding around the arena with ease, âStop stop stop stop!â I cry out; shutting my eyes. He halts quickly and wraps his arm around my waist
âare you ok?â He asks, âwhatâs wrong sweetheartâ his eyes fill with worry and anxiety as he brings me closer to him
âIâm ok, it was just really fast and the wind caught in my eyesâ I exclaim, âI know weâve only been skating for twenty minutes but Iâm ready to go inside nowâ I express
âOk, comonâ he guides me back, slowly and reassuringly. He helps me take my skates off and we hurry into the shower.
Thereâs nothing sexual about this; simply two people in love washing eachothers hair and sharing sweet kisses under the hot rain of a shower.
We share soft kisses and he runs his fingers through my hair tugging at the knots and gently brushing through them.
The bathroom is steamy when we get out and weâre entangled in eachother; kisses and gentle groping. His hands wrapped around my waist and my arms wrapped around his neck.
He lets me get tucked into our bed as he goes downstairs and makes hot coco for the two of us, even though I wonât finish mine and he will. He never gets frustrated at that.
Iâm so wholly addicted to him, the tv playing âPrincess and the frogâ as his leg is tucked between mine and my leg is thrown over his thigh. Weâre in this comfortable knot of limbs; his head resting against a pillow and his eyes slowly fluttering asleep as I run my fingers through his hair and gently massage his scalp.
He does this thing just as he falls asleep where he has this giant whole body twitch, at first it would catch me by surprise but as his legs shuffle and arms suddenly squeeze around me then relax he feels content and safe in my embrace.
I scoot a little closer to him and lay on my back; his head resting on my chest and heâs wrapped around me.
âI think I love youâ
âI knowâ
I WANT YOU
Jamie Drysdale
Me when Mitski đđ

Itâs him. Itâs always been him, no matter the circumstance or the choices Iâve made. Everything Iâve wanted and everything I needed has always been him.
Heâs standing there, looking at me like he always looked at me. Soft and kindly a little wobbly like a newborn deer. Standing in the doorway, the light cascades over him. Painting him in this angelic light.
I want to go to him, a string that tugs at my heart and pulls with the strength of a thousand men. I want him so badly. To go to him and be in that warmth he provides me.
Iâm stuck in the car, unmoving. My hands feel like their glued to the steering wheel. My lungs can barely function and I donât know what to do. Nothing couldâve ever prepared me for this.
I want to scream and shout, run up to him and kiss him. Scream in his face and hit him; kiss his face as I tell him how much I love him.
I drag myself out of the car. I walk slowly as I keep eye-contact with him. Finally he engulfs me in a hug.
The door closes and I slide to the floor. A heap of sobs, clutching onto his arms as I cry.
âIâm sorry, I donât know why!â I cry out as he wraps himself around me. Holding me like this, this is why I fell in love with him. Even though I knew it could never work out with us.
âI love youâ he tells me
âItâll never work with us, Jamie please. My heart, it canâtâ I whisper against his lips, âJamie..â
He closes the gap between us and I crawl onto him, his hands rake through my hair gripping onto my scalp in a needful desire for each other.
âItâs always been you Jamieâ I finally confess, the words choke out in this sad little mess of gasps and sobs.
