so like yknow what??? People tell you to avoid “smirk” and “chuckle” as descriptors because no one does those things (???) but then when I need to use those words I have a ten minute crisis about how I’m a shitty writer. So heres my unwarranted writing advice: If you want your characters to smirk and chuckle fucking let them and don’t let anyone tell you that no one smirks or chuckles because I do both on a daily basis whenever I tell a shitty pun, bye 

TWST writers, I advise you to look up what "prefect" means.

Please learn what prefects are and what they do. It's not interchangeable with "dorm leader" (I see people refer to the canon dorm leaders as "prefects." "Dorm leader" and "prefect" are different occupations..)

A prefect is a student who enforces discipline and has multiple responsibilities around school. Dorm leaders are only responsible for the dorms they lead meanwhile Yuu/the prefect's responsibilities aren't limited to Ramshackle dorm.

The Prefect is tasked with keeping everyone (including the dorm leaders) in line. They're authorized to do more things than the dorm leaders in a sense (which also includes Crowley's dirty work...)

Tbh, the only reason I started getting so into Leona's character is bc of the weird/uncomfortable way that some fans depicted him. It's so baffling to me that some people don't even read the main story but claim to love these characters.

In the text multiple times it is stated that the reason he is held back is by choice. ALSO, let's NOT demonize ppl for being lazy or unmotivated which can be debilitating effects of lots of neurodivergencies and mental illness. Leona is smart, he's a prince who was raised to be one. Sure, he's messy, but not "dirty." He may be lazy but he is NOT "stupid." And any delusions or headcanons others put on him that say differently are a result of implicit biases you have. ALSO, the fetishization of Leona is a whole nother can of worms I would love to address one day, and have already made several deleted vent posts about how me a "irl person" feels so much disgust about the way this fictional man is depicted in certain fanworks. Fiction doesn't equal reality I know that, BUT it can be a mirror. Sometimes, it is a reflection of our own desires and whims. All I'm saying I think is PLEASE PLEASE practice media literacy and at least examine WHY you have certain headcanons for certain characters and not others. Why in your NSFW/romantic headcanons is Leona the only dorm leader who is aggressive and mean in bed? Or why he has a smelly but HUGE...yeah??? PLEASE THINK ABOUT WHY you headcanon that for just ONE SECOND. I never wanna step on anyone's fun and there are lots of layers but please just a little more nuance when it comes to Leona? I get it if you don't like him but it's exhausting as a fan of him and I'm sure even more for others who align themselves with Leona to see him dragged through the mud every time. No one in twst is all good or bad, okay?
