Handbuilt porcelain, reduction fired with manganese dioxide wash.
This mask is a part of a (loosely connected) mask series, all hand-built and fired using a range of different temperatures and techniques.
WOOO DEATH SOUL EATER MASK!! Technically the first mask I made in the whole series, and also the first and only mask to shatter into half a billion pieces (excluding Dusk Warden's, of course).
The death mask pictured to its left is the raku fired mask I posted prior to this one!
I'm always ecstatic about the effect of manganese reduction fired over porcelain. It looks just like bone in person!
