Jay was hard for me to figure out in the au, because I can't imagine that she'd act very differently. So I decided that she wouldn't be changed very much. I think the biggest difference is that she's more selfishly smart. Don't get me wrong, of the three of them, she is the one with the most actual morality! But a lot of her morals are basically just drilled into her from her navy training. She has a view of good and evil, and she's fully aware that the crew of the Albatross tip more towards the evil side.

In this au she immediately told Chip that she was a spy, because she pretty quickly figured out that if she betrayed him, he would kill her. So instead she decided to take the brutally honest take with him. Jay in this au rarely, if ever, lies to Chip and Gill. This quickly builds trust with them. It also means that she's the one who keeps them from just murdering people. She often tries to do the moral thing of saving people, and roping Gill in on it too.

Just because she's the goodest of the three, doesn't mean that she's a good person. If things are going wrong she'll do her best to save her own skin. She's so honest with the boys as a tactic to keep herself safe. In this au, Jay while honest, is very cautious and kinda closed off, no she won't lie, but she doesn't go out of her way to talk or share things about herself. In fact, she does her best to not piss them off. She is still a spy after all, even if they know about it.

Recently I rediscovered the fact that Happy Together is in fact a song and it made think a bit too much about o!Phil and o!Sneeg.

Like, at it's base it's a quite cheery song about two people who have sworn to be together. Which makes me think a lot about how close Phil and Sneeg were, like they were always together, and loyal to eachother.

But then if you listen to the lyrics like, they're kinda obsessive, like, really obsessive. It sounds like the singer is obsessed with someone and like, trying to convince them to also be obsessed with them. Because listening to the lyrics, these two people aren't together. "Imagine me and you". And I think this more sinister and obsessive take to the lyrics really pulls into the whole villain and abandonment issues of o!phil and o!sneeg. Like, they are villains, but their main point of villainy is trying to keep the server together. They desperately want a family. And they want their family to stay.

Also like, the ending of the song seems to especially tap in to the obssessive-ness, like, the desperate repetition and build up of all the sounds. And also the addon of the lyric "How is the weather?" Makes me really think about Sneeg being left alone by the server, more more specifically Phil. He's growing desperate, and probably going insane from loneliness. He's asking "how is the weather?" Because he's wondering how it is for everyone else. Is the weather clearer where they are? Are they happy? It also feels very bitter to me, like Sneeg has grown angry at the idea of "happy together" because it's something Phil would've said, and now he's alone.

Anyways yeah, I miss origins, come home origins. Please.

All I wanted to do was draw Gillion, now there's an elaborate au built around it.

Say hello to the Twisted AU. It's like normal riptide but everything is more twisted. It's technically a villain au, but not really.

In this AU Gillion's upbringing lead to him being egotistical and kinda narcissistic. He's still hero of the undersea and all that jazz, but think like selfish celebrity, Yeah, he'll donate to charity, so long as he's still rich and gets the spotlight.

In this au Gillion is much more selfish, helping people until it inconveniences him. He's obsessed with his appearance and uses magic much more targeted towards charming and controlling people, so that others do his dirty work for him. He's also much more sadistic, drawing out deaths to get the full bloody glory of it and hurting people for the hell of it. On the flip side, he hates getting hurt. Not because of the pain, but because the blood might stain his clothes. He still has that oath against lying, but he's much more willing to stretch that oath to its limits. It's not lying if he's acting. It's not lying if he doesn't say anything.

Don't be fooled though, he isn't the only messed up one in the au. Gonna have to do Jay and Chip next.

Guys I think Aeon got to Troy before Blink did. Think about it.

When Troy fell down the trash hole he immediately went unconscious. When Blink found him he was not unconscious. In fact, he was wandering around like he hadn't been for a while. He was pointedly described as roughed and dirtied and beat up, like he'dbeen wandering around getting into trouble.

Also the things Troy says "your my only ticket outa here" to which Blink respinds "why me?" And then troy says "I dunno, I'm not supposed to tell you" and then there's also the red flag of "no one's vhasing you, no one's using fir any ulterior motivation" which are the obvious ones, but I noticed some other more subtle ones.

"All I know is I fell down this freaken' hole, I woke in this wacky situation with all these cooky characters" he says this right before saying Blink is the only one who can help him. Why do I point this out? Because what "wacky characters" has he met besides Blink? He was unconscious, and then wandering around confused, Blink should be the first person that he's talking to. Who else did he talk to for that to be a description of his situation?

He also says "you have gotta run with me, if you wanna make it down here" when he just meets Blink. No hi hello, not even names yet. At this point Troy still thinks it's a convention. Currently, he's chased after Blink for seemingly no reason after proclaiming "you!" It very much seems like he's repeating something someone said to him in an effort to get Blink to trust him.

Lastly is the picture that was accidentally posted to patreon by the jrwi crew. It was in a post that was basically all the images from the first episode, but they accidentally included one from a future episode. The image is Troy sitting on a chair looking kinda nervous or indecisive while the rest of the picture is just darkness. Charlie has said that Troy gets worse during the campaign and also commits war crimes(?)

Here's what I think happened between Troy falling and Blink meeting him. I think the bear guy finds Troy, is like "wtf?" Gets a vixen over, they obviously recognize an uplander, so they fetch Aeon. Troy is a fucking dumbass and she decides she could use that to her advantage. She tells Troy that Blink, the owl man can help him get out, and she'll also help, so long as he reports Blink's actions to her. And maybe also brings Blink up to the surface with him (where he obviously won't come back from).

That's my theory, Troy unknowing villain arc. But idk, maybe I'm doing Troy Math wrong.

Troy is an in denial gay. "Sometimes I think about guys" sir, I guarantee you have not and will not romantically get a women within a thirty foot radius of you. It's not a matter of would you, it's a matter of women knowing that you bag more men than your average straight and not being up to challenge your position of boykisser Supreme.

May was chill with him because she has a functioning gaydar. Troy, does not have a functioning gayday. He is not aware of the fact that he is gay.
