A/N: I LOVE this idea, and I’m so happy to be able to write something for Valentine’s Day!! I think this is such a sweet idea and I hope I did it some justice! ♡ When you give Riddle a box of chocolates, proudly proclaiming “Happy Valentine’s Day!” with a hug and a kiss, his face is tints pink and his slate grey eyes widen. And while he tries to fight it? He’s honestly so flustered and happy that he got your gift. Not only did you get him some of his favorites, but the box has details that match the Queen of Hearts and Heartslabyul, and everything about it is so neat and perfect. When he’s done admiring your gift, he’ll pull out his own for you—a cute heart shaped note, a red rose, and a heart shaped tart that he made in your favorite flavor (Yes, Trey did help him), handing them to you with a warm smile on his face saying “Happy Valentine’s Day to you too my heart!” 

♡ Leona has always been pretty moody and often pretty arrogant, but when you hand him a little box of chocolates in the middle of one of his naps, eagerly waiting for his response? He’s going to give you a lazy little smile, not saying anything before digging right into them. While he might come across as rude, Leona is thrilled on the inside. Not only did you think to get him something, you got something specifically for him; he wasn’t an afterthought or your second option. He doesn’t have to share, and his arrogance is quickly boosted knowing you thought of him. He might mumble out a quick and gruff, “Thanks, herbivore.” while he pulls you into him for a nap. As you both drift off, he makes note to ask Ruggie to grab something for your gift later. 

♡ Handing Azul a box of chocolates for Valentine’s Day is going to break him a little. Not only is he not used to someone having nothing but pure affection and love for him, enough that they’d buy him a gift on the most romantic day in the world, but he’s honestly wondering how he managed to get so lucky to have you in his life? He is so overjoyed and happy the moment you hand him the box. He’ll offer to share some candy with you, and might even sample some as he gets them, dying to try the confectionary delights of the surface world. His face might be a little flushed and his eyes watery, but he maintains his signature smirk (albeit a bit softer) as he hands you a note and your own gift, saying “I love you angel, and thank you for thinking of me. I hope you’re ready for tonight, because I have a romantic date planned for us.”

♡ Giving Kalim any sort of Valentine’s Day gift is an EXPERIENCE, but when you give him a box of chocolates? He’s going to be THRILLED. First, Jamil has to taste them (for safety purposes of course, unless you asked Jamil to help you make them!), and after that Kalim is practically shoveling them into his mouth, complimenting how sweet they are and thanking you with the biggest and flashiest smile on his face for the amazing gift! “Thank you so much Y/N! I love it! I love you! I’m so thankful for this!” he says with a chocolate covered face, smothering you in kisses. He got you a gift too (Actually Jamil helped him with it) but...he seems to have misplaced it...maybe Jamil will know where it is? Kalim will have to ask him the next time he sees him! 

♡ Oh Vil absolutely adores flattery of any sort, so any gifts you give him, especially that fancy box of gourmet chocolates he mentioned wanting a while back are going to be accepted with the biggest, flashiest smile ever. He’s elated though, and though he’s adored by so many people, you’re the most important person that he’s been adored by. Anything you give him is precious, and he’s going to treasure it so much because he loves you with his entire heart. He’ll open it, feeding you one of the chocolates, telling you “Happy Valentine’s Day, dear. You dazzle me with your affection, and I am pleased that my beautiful face was on your mind today.” while handing you a very EXTRAORDINARY and clearly expensive gift. 

♡ Idia loves sweets and candy of any sort, so getting him a box of chocolates to show your affections for him on Valentine’s Day was probably the best bet. When you managed to go into his room and hand him the box, he’s going to be floored. Did he just receive a gift that upped his affection levels for you? His hair tints pink, his pale face completely flushed red as he takes the box, placing it somewhere safe to eat while he games later (they came from you, they have to have some sort of special properties to boost his skills at least temporarily, right?). And he’ll hand you an adorable card that says “You fill all of my hearts ❤” as he stutters out, “I-I know it’s not much, but wanna be m-my player two in this game today?”

♡ While Malleus has knowledge of Valentine’s Day, getting gifts from anyone was something he’d never thought would’ve happened in his long life, so you handing him a beautiful black heart shaped box of different flavored chocolates warms his heart almost instantly. Malleus has so much love for you, and getting something, even as simple as this, means everything to him. He smiles gently, his normally sharp and somewhat intimidating features softened as he looks at you, “To get a gift like this is so rare for me, but to get it from someone I love as much as you my love is even more special. Thank you, I will treasure it more than you know.” he says sweetly, placing a kiss on your knuckles and summoning some of the most beautiful things from the Briar Valley just for you.

Riddle Rosehearts x Gn!Reader

I went with the romantic dinner idea! So sorry this was done late, I felt a little sick yesterday t-t

"IS EVERYTHING READY for (y/n)’s arrival?” Riddle inquired as he stood by the entrance of the tea garden. Cater was sitting on top of a ladder, touching up on the decorations, while Ace and Deuce made sure that the white tablecloth was spotless and that the correct eating utensils have been laid out on the table.

"Yep~! I can assure you that the decorations look totally aesthetic!" Cater replied, quickly snapping a selfie to digitally preserve his hard work.

"We're almost done with the table," Ace added, dusting his hands with a quiet sigh, "Deuce! Light the candles, and then I'll spread the rose petals." Nodding, Deuce did as he was told by casting a minor fire spell to strike the wick with his magic pen. Grabbing a handful of rose petals from the straw basket laid on the grass, Ace proceeded to shower the table with petals, completing the romantic setting that Riddle had planned out earlier. The red-haired dorm leader folded his arms over his chest, humming in approval.

"Wonderful. All that's left is for me to check if Trey is finished-"

"Yep, the food is ready to be served at any time. Honey garlic glazed salmon for the main course, and apple walnut tarts and Earl Grey tea for dessert," Trey interjected, appearing behind Riddle whilst adjusting his glasses' position with a smile, "You just focus on making this the best Valentine's night for the prefect, okay?" The vice dorm leader proceeded to fuss over Riddle's appearance, fixing his gold-coloured cravat that was a little out of place, checking that his red tailcoat was free of any creases, as well as securing his rose pin on the front left lapel. After tucking his left bangs behind his ear, Trey took a step back from him and proudly put his hands on his hips.

"Don't forget the roses!" Cater exclaimed, pushing a bouquet of said flowers into Riddle's arms, "I texted them to come to Heartslabyul in their best outfit an hour ago. They should be here soon~" Turning to the ADeuce combo, he then waved his magic pen at them, magically changing their clothes into matching butler outfits. "And our two butlers are prepared to serve the host and his guest tonight. Alright! Now that everything is ready, we'll head back to the dorm."

"Good luck, dorm leader Rosehearts!" Deuce said, smiling encouragingly, "I promise that I won't mess anything up while serving the food!"

"Don't let this romantic dinner date flop~" Ace teased, causing his dorm leader's left eyebrow to twitch in annoyance. Trey yanked him away in the speed of light to prevent the first-year from saying anything else that might trigger Riddle's wrath right before an important event.

As soon as the group disappeared from the area, Riddle heard you call his name behind him, prompting him to turn around. Eyes going wide, he saw you dressed in your finest attire for the surprise dinner he had set up for you tonight in Heartslabyul's tea garden.

"Wow, you're dressed very formally," you commented, your eyebrows shooting up in surprise, "Is there a special occasion? Cater even told me to dress up without telling me why..."

"You look stunning, (y/n)," he uttered, unable to tear his gaze away from your form.

You blinked as your cheeks became warm at his unexpected compliment. "O-oh, thanks-" In a poor attempt to change the topic, you inclined your head towards the rose bouquet in his arms. "What's that for?"

As he quickly remembered why you had been invited here, he wordlessly approached you and then held the bouquet out to you. "These roses are for you. You told me a week ago that it'll be Valentine's Day today and that you've never celebrated it with anyone back in your world." He paused, observing the surprise in your expression. "Since you've done so much for Heartslabyul, I wanted to take this chance to repay you and... to deliver my feelings for you."

You had to take a moment to let Riddle's words sink in. Once you've gathered your wits, you shyly accepted the flowers from him and cast your gaze to the grass below, suddenly finding them more interesting than the red-haired dorm leader standing in front of you.

"Th-thank you, Riddle. I really don't know what to say..." you murmured, only to feel his slim fingers slide under your chin to tilt your face up, coaxing you to meet his earnest eyes.

All the scenario practice he did with the Heartslabyul gang finally paid off.

"Follow me. I've prepared something for you, and I hope you'll like it," he said, his other hand reaching out to clasp one of yours. As your fingers interlocked, he led you inside the tea garden and beckoned you to sit down by the table. He then took a seat across from you, and on cue, butlers Ace and Deuce came strolling in with the plates of food Trey had whipped up for this occasion.

Once again, you were surprised; you didn't think Riddle had it in him to plan a romantic dinner.

"You don't have to give me an answer right now," Riddle softly began, "but if you are willing to let me make you the happiest person in Twisted Wonderland today, nothing else would bring me greater joy."

I just watched the anime Higehiro and there’s a scene where the mother says that to the main MC and it affected me so much. Thank you ❤️

Uffff, I remember when I saw that scene for the first time many years ago. It also affected me quite a bit, I almost started crying. I am going to do the order in two parts because I ended up making it quite long. This part corresponds to Riddle, Leona and Kalim. I hope you are well, I am very sorry for the delay.

Riddle

The tea party wasn't going well. Specifically for you. You had avoided talking about the horrible conversation you had with your mother days ago, but not being able to bring it to the surface was taking its toll. You couldn't console an eight-hour sleep, if you made it to three was a miracle. Your appetite was diminishing to the point of not appearing in the cafeteria because the slightest smell already made you gag. You couldn't concentrate in class and the tasks were impossible to solve. You tried to put the best face in front of your teammates, but every day, every hour it was worse. The dark circles under your eyes, red from crying so much, began to be noticed much more precipitously, your voice had disappeared and your vocal cords were mistreated. Terrible days spent alone, and it wasn't even the middle of the week.

And all that mental and sentimental heaviness ended up exploding at the unbirthday party on Wednesday. You saw multiple mates having fun, talking calmly, full of joy and energy. And there you were, holding on not to shed any tears… it was all in vain when you felt fingers gently brush your hand.

Riddle was trying to approach you quietly, he intended to hold your hand for a couple of minutes while the party went on, but it was that light touch, so gentle and innocent, that made your eyes shine and tears began to flow like a waterfall. Those around you were worried to see you in such a deplorable state, Riddle the most, and without raising any more suspicions, excused himself from the table and took you with him to the lounge, putting an arm around your shoulders and hiding you with his cap.

As the two of you sat down in one of the large armchairs, you burst into tears. All the stress that you have been accumulating these last days, all the sadness and anguish that the conversation with your mother had an impact on your mental health. The hands of the clock stopped before such a sad scene, time had frozen and the only thing that kept you in orbit was the amount of tears that ran down your cheeks. Riddle dedicated himself to holding your hands, to give you little consoling cuddles, while he waited for you to calm down a bit and explain the situation to him.

With all the possibilities, the last thing he expected to hear were those cruel and vile words your mother spoke to you. Even his mother wasn't capable of such hatred and contempt.

"I understand what it's like to have a bad time with your mother, but I can't put myself in your shoes" his hands went up your arms until they reached your shoulders. He gave you one, two, three little massages, and brought you to him. The hug was a bit inexperienced and careless, but it conveyed the affection and appreciation that Riddle had towards you, towards your being, your essence and soul.

"What I can do is hold your hand for as long as you need to feel better, whether it's days, weeks or months"

Leona

What is more annoying to Leona than not being able to take his daily nap in the botanical garden? Not sleeping said nap with you next to him.

You were arriving an hour late and Leona couldn't smell your scent near the place in question. Every minute he passed he became more irritable, his tail wagging erratically and his ears kept flexing as he tried to find you through all the screeching. Not being fruitful waiting for you, Leona reluctantly stood up, anyone who passed by his side will see his face upset and ready to rip out the jugular to anyone who tried to bother him.

He walked to Savannaclaw with the intention of going to his own bedroom and not getting up until dinner time. But to his surprise, and his bad temper, he found you in his own dorm, sitting on the edge of the large pool, feet in the cool, cool water, head down and with no intention of lifting it no matter how many people passed by your side.

Your head only rose to look at that lion whose figure was imposed on your side, letting him see your red and swollen eyes and your cheeks wet from crying so much. Neither of you said anything for a couple of minutes. Leona sat next to you, trying inside him to give you your space, he didn't either deign to put an arm around your shoulders or hips, he didn't ask what was wrong with you, he just stood there. Reserved.

When the sun was about to set on the horizon, your words came timidly to the surface. New tears ran down your cheeks as you recounted the terrible experience you had with your mother days ago. “Tsk, how troublesome” was the only thing Leona said before pulling you towards him. He let your face hide on his shoulder, he didn't care if his shirt got wet, he placed his tail on your waist, trying to give you a little more protection.

After about half an hour, when the water was already getting too cold to enjoy at night, the brunette carried you to his room, snuggling your head on your chest, thus preventing any student from seeing your afflicted face. All the way he thought of ways to make that person, if you could call them a person, who called himself your mother, pay. Maybe Ruggie could do him a couple of favors… but it wasn't worth it, no matter how much his blood boiled and wanted to sink his claws and fangs into every part of their body, it wasn't worth it. Not when it meant putting you in even more pain.

Being already in his room, he laid you on his bed as if you were a feather, a completely defenseless and fragile little thing. He laid your head on a pile of pillows and covered you with his sheet, preventing the cold of the night from chilling you even more.

“Look” he started stroking your head, moving the little strands that were stuck to your cheeks thanks to your salty tears “Your mother misses having a relationship with a person as brave and incredible as you”

Noticing you a little calmer, he got under the sheets, trapping you again in his arms and placing your head on his chest again, this time completely covering you with his figure, without ever stopping patting your head. Your breathing became calmer, more controlled; your arms were strong again, enough to wrap even a little around his shoulders. Leona supported his hand under your chin in the most comfortable way possible, and little by little he raised your face, until your gaze was in contact with his. “Hold your head up high and show her what you're capable of. Kalim

Your little sobs echoed through the halls of Scarabia. Today was a cold and sad night compared to the normal warm and partying ones. Today there was no banquet, no exuberant food, no party. Today there was nothing; just a cold starry sky that accompanied the dinner of worried students.

They knew Kalim was present in his chambers, worrying not about planning new activities for the bedroom, but trying to calm and support his partner. Nobody knew what had happened, but it must have been something very ugly and shocking for even Kalim's cheerful and outgoing aura not to be felt in the air.

“I can't understand the feeling you're going through, but I'm here for whatever you need.” Kalim's voice came out as a whisper between his own sobs. He was sad, very sad. He was sad for you, for your situation.

The one with ruby ​​eyes didn't understand what the indifference of a relative was, and one as important as parents. His parents had wanted him, he was the firstborn of his lineage, but that didn't stop him from feeling empathy for the people around him.

Kalim caressed your back slowly while he kept your head resting on his chest. Your tears wet his shirt, but he didn't care at all. The only thing he cared about was keeping you calm, stable. "Please don't cry, it breaks my heart to see you sad"

When the first tears began to roll down your cheeks, Kalim almost panicked. It's not like he was oblivious to tears, even he cried from time to time, but he didn't like to see his friends and family, the people he loved, cry. And when you told him the reason, you could hear his heart break into a thousand pieces.

Minutes, maybe hours passed for you to calm down or at least for you to stop crying. It was already early morning, felt the cold air of the desert. You began to tremble, perhaps from the spasms from crying so much or from the cold, it wasn't clear. Kalim covered them both with a blanket, a little light, but did the job perfectly. “Smile for me, you are part of my family” and with that, you were able to end the night with some peace. Maybe starting a new family.
