"Metal And Rock Music Are Satanic And A Bad Influence For Children"

"Metal and Rock Music Are Satanic and a bad influence for children"

Metallica received once a letter from an old lady in her 90s who was about to die. Her last wish was to see her favourite band singing to her before passing away. They visited her in the hospital and didn't accept any money for it.

The solist of the band Nirvana, Kurt Cobain, made it very clear that if anyone is sexist, racist or homophobic they could as well just leave and stop buying his albums. He suddently stopped singing in order to save a woman from being sexually assaulted in the middle of a concert. He also used to stay up late at night in order to answer his fans' messages.

Blink-182 received a note from a teenage boy named Adam, who took his own life shortly after writing that letter. Finding out what happened, Hoppus wrote "Adam's Song" in his memory.

Justin Bieber splits on people, is rude to everyone, wrote: "Anne was a great girl. Hopefully she would've been a belieber." while visiting Anne Frank's House, sprayed over a builiding that’s a protected heritage site, punched a fan in the face and made his fans wait for a couple hours to start his concert because he was playing video games backstage. He also walked out midway through a different concert. Also also, he got a monkey as a pet once. Then abandoned it.

And yet people still believe that Pop Starts are automatically better role models for their children just because Rock and Metal are usually less listened (and appreciated) music genres. Let that sink in for a moment.

You know that your recreation of the circulatory system is spot on when people start to believe that you poisoned two servants with quicksilver-based compound.

Theseus, or the Assless Hero.

Theseus is already a hated figure among Greek Mythology Enthusiasts for any of these reasons:

a) Abandoning Ariadne;

b) Killing his own son;

c) Kidnapping twelve-year-old Helen;

d) All of the above;

But people aren't prepared to talk about his worst, most horrendous crime: not having an ass! And no, I'm not saying that he was flat, that would've been a good situation. What I'm talking about is THIS! 👇

Theseus, Or The Assless Hero.

And that, good people, is why Theseus is not badass, only bad. Though I shall emphasize the fact that for someone without an ass he surely was one.

Perseus X Andromeda

Perseus x Andromeda

It took me a while to make this one. I tried to find some reference pictures for black Andromeda, but didn't find any. 😑

Anyway, Perseus x Andromeda.

My three biggest dissapointments with the way people are trying to depict Medusa nowdays:

1. The perception that Medusa is nothing but a victim suggests the idea that only men are capable of being pure evil, whereas women cannot do something cruel on their own unless they went through a series of traumatic and/or horrible experiences. This could also be one of the reasons why Perseus ended up being so demonized, even though in the original myths it's pretty clear that he wants to kill Medusa so he could save his mother from being married to a king who resembled his grandfather. For God's sake, let women be evil! I want to see evil women!

2. There are already a LOT of victims of Rape and SA in Greek Mythology whose stories still remain in the underground. I know that Medusa became a symbol of SA victims and survivors throughout the years, so I won't judge any person who went through this sort of trauma and consider Medusa to be a comfort character. What I'm trying to point out here is the fact that many people try to make her story seem even more tragic than it already was in order to portray her as the ultimate SA victim from Greek Mythology, and in the process they're erasing the stories of other characters who went through similar experiences, if not then worse. Even in the myth of Perseus we have Danae, his mother. Her father shut her up in a bronze chamber, Zeus then raped her in the form of a golden rain, she and her newborn baby were then thrown into a wooden chest and casted into the sea, and then she had too watch her son going to what it seemed to be a safe suicide mission whereas a perverted king wanted to marry her (probably through SA as well). And yet how many people are talking about her?

3. People are saying things like "They hated her just because she was ugly. 🥺" and then proceed to depict Medusa in a conventionally attractive way. We already have a whole history of women's personalities and moralities being judged purely based on their appearance. In Ancient Greece it was believed that the physical appearance is a reflection of the soul, which is why ugly and deformed people were instantly marginalized. We have a similar logic in Fairy Tales as well, where the princess is always young and beautiful and the evil stepmother is ugly and old. Even in Snow White, the Evil Queen is actively malevolent only when she's disguised as a hag. So by depicting Medusa as a conventionally attractive woman with a snake wig on her head, what you're doing is reinforcing the exact same type of mentality. You're basically saying that one is not worthy of emphathy or understanding unless they're beautiful.

People are shocked that Snow White is only fourteen in the 1937 Disney Film and consider the prince a pedo. As if in Grimm Brothers' version she isn't seven whereas the prince was probably a necrophile as well. Kissing a dead girl that you just saw in a forest is already creepy, but asking for her body to be brought to your castle is already another flavor of disturbing.

Also: Now that I'm thinking about it, the fact that she's seven makes sense. It explains why she was naïve enough to be fooled by her stepmother three times in a row, or why people from that time (who were so obssessed with the idea of purity when it came to marriageable ladies, that is) were so chill with the fact that she's living in a house with seven men.

Also also: Apparently the seven dwarves were not inspired by people with dwarfism, but by the little children who were forced to work in mines at that time. Alright, now I'm starting to believe that this story is completely fucked up...
