The amount of restraint I am showing over only working on one book at a time and not even touching any of my other ideas is to be commended. I don't even know if I want to write them yet but here are the top contenders for when I finish Night Of The Blue Moon:

-An aromantic vampire doctor befriends an also aromantic terminally ill patient, and they bond over feeling left behind by the world, and discarded by their friends in favour of romantic pursuits

-An alien falls in love with an autistic woman, and they bond over feeling as if they don't belong among humans due to humans not understanding or accepting them

When I get an idea for a new fic and I already have too many WIPs.

Stage of the Writing Process: planning

Synopsis:

The Kingdom of Ciryn and the Kingdom of Valenque are at war. To end the war, the King of Ciryn suggests a marriage between Princess Mireille of Ciryn Kingdom and Prince Varian of Valenque Kingdom. However, when Prince Varian visits the Kingdom of Ciryn, he attempts an assassination on the King, and is imprisoned.

When Mireille’s best friend, Keir, is imprisoned for a minor crime, she visits him to reassure him she would convince her father to free him. However, the Rebellion attacks.

When the soldier standing guard at Varian’s cell gets knocked out, he rejoices at his freedom. Navigating the narrow, stinky halls of the dungeons, he can’t believe his good luck as he stumbles into Princess Mireille.

As Prince Varian uses Princess Mireille as a bargaining chip, he escapes the kingdom with her, working his way back to his father as Mireille tries her hardest to escape.

Filled with simmering tension and mystery, Mireille and Varian un- cover a plot that would destroy the world...

As this WIP is in the planning process, I haven’t really discovered too much about the plot and haven’t developed anything as such, but I think this is enough?

 “I wasn’t able to see where he was escaping to, either. The reason for that has turned out to be that Orpheus has been escaping somewhere where my powers can’t affect him.”

Solana blinked. “What are you talking about, Phoebe? You know everyone’s future, don’t you?” she scoffed, “Where could someone possibly go where you can’t see their future?”

“Simple. The Underworld,” she responded as if explaining why the sky was blue, “I can see the futures of all living beings, but the dead have no future. Once a soul enters the Underworld, my power of foresight becomes useless, as their soul is counted as dead, even if their body is still alive.”

So you've had no opportunity the last three months to increase any of your combat Abilities. Correct. Not even at the shooting range. Doctor Horta, as I understand it, came back from the Nightfolk expedition, petitioned the Council, and is at the moment we leave engaged in his own... professional pursuits. I would have liked to have gone with him. Do you think things would be different if he was there? ... Khalid. ... no. I don't. I think this was always going to happen.
